Uber launches premium service for passengers, reduces fares

Dhaka, Sep 16 (UNB) - Uber, a global on-demand ride-sharing company, has announced the launch of Premier, an in-app upscale ride option, and also reduced its fare of current services.
According to an Uber statement, from now the passengers of the Uber taxi service will be able to select and enjoy a plush ride every day.
Under the new service of "Premier ride", riders can avail superior premium quality sedans with specially trained driver partners, it said.
The Uber also brought marginal changes in the fare structure. As per the change in fares, now the riders of UberX category will pay Tk 290 instead of Tk 330 to travel from Banani Road 11 to Airport while fare of Dhanmondi 27 to Mirpur 1 will be charged Tk 230 instead of Tk 260.
It mentioned that fare of Uber-Premium for Banani 11 to Airport will be Tk 370 and Dhanmondi 27 to Mirpure 1 will be Tk 295.
Arpit Mundra, general Manager of Uber Dhaka said, "At Uber, we are constantly looking for ways to enhance rider experience through technological innovations and locally relevant products.”
