The situation in Aleppo province reflects the wider tragedy in Syria, where the civil war, now in its fifth year, has shattered medical care.
In a report released Wednesday, Physicians for Human Rights says Aleppo has sustained 45 verified attacks on hospitals there since 2012. The New York-based organization says the government perpetrated all of those attacks.
It says only one in twenty doctors remain in eastern Aleppo while 95 percent of doctors have fled, been detained or killed.
