Seven members of an Indian Tabligh congregation have been put under home-quarantine in Rangabali upazila to avoid the transmission of coronavirus.
Rangabali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Mashfaqur Rahman on Tuesday directed them to stay at home for the next 14 days.
Tabligh Jamaat’s upazila unit Ameer Ahmed Faisal said all of them came to join a join the Biswa Ijtema in Tongi of Gazipur in January last.
After attending the religious gathering, they visited different places in the country and came to the upazila in March. They were staying at different mosques here.
On information, the UNO along with officer-in-charge of Rangabali Police Station Md Ali Ahmed went to the spot and sent them on home-quarantine.
