Authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia have formed an anti-ragging committee for eliminating ragging from the campus.
IU Vice-chancellor Prof M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari constituted the committee with by student advisor Prof M Saidur Rahman as its head, IU additional registrar M Nawab Ali said on Friday.
All the hall provosts, senior chairmen of all departments and proctor Prof Paresh Chandra Barman would be members of the committee, he added.
Talking to UNB, the IU vice-chancellor said there is no room for ragging on the IU campus.
He said the anti-ragging committee was formed in compliance with a High Court order.
