Benapole, July 2 (UNB) - An Indian teenage girl, who came to Bangladesh one year ago reportedly for meeting her boyfriend, returned to her country on Monday.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) handed Mampi Dutta, 16, daughter of Modon Dutta of Battala in Kolkata’s Ultadanga, over to Indian Border Security Force (BSF) through Benapole check-post.
ABM Muhit Hossain, an official of NGO Justice and Care, said the girl entered Bangladesh illegally one year back to meet her lover who lives in Khulna. Later, she was arrested by police and sent to a safe home in Bagerhat through a court.
