ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhatacharjee said a notice will be issued to this effect.
ACC had already summoned Hawlader asking him to appear before the commission on May 14 this year to face interrogation over his alleged accumulation of huge illegal wealth.
He skipped that date, writing to the ACC that he couldn’t attend due to performing Umrah.
Hawlader also skipped the interrogation of ACC on May 4 as the High Court stayed the notice of ACC.
On April 16, 2014, the ACC initiated an inquiry into alleged illegal wealth accumulation by Ruhul Amin Hawlader after it took cognisance of the unusual increase in his wealth, which was evident from the statement he submitted to the Election Commission (EC) along with his electoral affidavit.
According to ACC, Hawlader’s business firm — KR Fashion — secured allocation of a huge tract of land near Kuakata sea beach in Patuakhali using political influence.
Apart from the KR Fashion land, Ruhul allegedly grabbed further government lands in the Kuakata beach area.
The HM Ershad-led Jatiya Party's MP had disclosed assets of Tk 17. 64 million in the affidavit submitted for contesting the 2008 national election. But that increased to Tk 66.6 million in the affidavit submitted in 2014.
Hawlader was elected from Patuakhali-1 constituency in the 9th parliament.
