Kismat started his new voyage with just one cow. Firstly, he can earn Tk 250 to 300 per day by selling seven to eight litres of milk after meeting family milk demand. At present, he is the owner of 20 cows and built ‘Al-Hossain Dairy’ farm in his upazila.
Now he is earning Tk 45,000 to 50,000 monthly by selling 200 litres of milk from his household dairy farm. He has deployed three workers at his farm. They are very happy as they get job in their village with good earning, sources said.
During a recent visit, UNB correspondent found Kismat rearing 20 cows applying modern and easy method. There have separate store rooms for keeping straw and grass. He also built a house for his workers with a television for their entertainment.
Talking to UNB, Akbar Hossain Kismat said he has developed his household dairy farm following the high demand of cow’s milk in the upazila. He is earning a fair profit monthly by selling milk from his dairy farm.
Now he is more interested to develop his farm to fulfill the demand of cow’s milk in the upazila.
