Bangladesh Non-Government Teachers’ and Employees’ Forum came up with the threat at a press conference at Jaiya Press Club on Wednesday morning.
Their demands include nationalsation of non-government educational institutions, five percent annual increment and festival allowance for the Bengali New Year.
Md Saidul Hasan Selim, president of the organization, said the organisation called off their 20-day demonstrations and hunger strike programme on January 29 following the prime minister’s assurance of meeting their demands.
“The Prime Minister assured us that our demand will be fulfilled, but still there was no announcement in this regard,” he said.
The leader announced that they will observe half-day work abstention from September 23 to September 25 and on September 27, in every district and upazila headquarters.
Among others, general secretary of the organisation Md Abdul Khalek addressed the programme.
