Law Minister Anisul Huq on Saturday said BNP leaders think any law enacted by the government is a ‘black law’, whether they understand it or not.
A ‘black law’ is understood as any law that can be used to oppress the people or curtail their freedoms.
“Whether BNP leaders understand it or not, any law we enact, they think it’s a black law,” he said.
He made the remarks while talking to journalists at Akhaura Railway Station.
BNP leaders tagged the bill recently placed in the parliament for bringing into government coffers the surplus money of different autonomous, semi-autonomous and statutory agencies, including non-financial corporations, as a black law.
Law Minister called on BNP leaders to read the law and understand it.
