He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the Zoom Conference titled "Tourism: A Penalty Shoot for the Economy of Bangladesh" jointly organised by Bangladesh Tourism Corporation, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and Bhraman Travel Magazine.
A committee has been formed by the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority to carry out the additional work of the construction of the heliport, which will submit a report soon, said the secretary.
After the committee submits its report, a formal announcement will be made on various issues related to the construction of the heliport, added Mohibul.
He said that work is also underway to formulate a policy for the development of tourism in Bangladesh. This policy will specify the responsibilities of each ministry involved in tourism so that they can play a role in the development of tourism in Bangladesh by performing their respective rule properly.
The joint initiative of all government and non-government organizations is needed for the development of tourism. It is not possible to achieve the desired progress of tourism without integrated initiatives, said the senior secretary.
