Jahangirnagar Theater (Auditorium) is organising the festival, inaugurated by noted dramatist Professor Rashid Harun at Amar Ekush premises in the morning.
They also brought out a procession that paraded across the campus and ended by placing floral wreath at the grave of Nattacharya Selim Al Deen.
“In this festival, the drama production from West Bengal, Jahangirnagar Theater and Bangladesh will staged here,” said Jahangirnagar Theater (Auditorium) Organising Secretary Prethula Prasun Puja.
This year, Jahangirnagar Theater will honor dramatist Thantu Rayhan and academician Professor Nasim Akhter Hossain at the festival.
Dramas that will be staged include ‘Anuddheroniyo’ by Theater Art Unit, ‘Ulte Gelo’ by Famoch, ‘Nddiu Notim’ by Mad Theater, ‘Nine Miles to Go’ by Progga Cultural Center, ‘Chelakothar Shepay’ by Jahangirnagar Theater, and Rugu Chondaler Har by Arshinagar.
The festival will conclude on March 2.
