The match will kick-off at 4 pm. Bangla TV will telecast the match live from the big bowl.
Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque will inaugurate the meet as the chief guest while Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Abdus Salam Murshedy MP will be the special guest.
On the next day (Thursday), Saif SC will play Rahmatganj MFS at 3:30 pm while Bashundhara Kings will play Brothers Union Club at 6:15 pm.
Thirteen clubs team of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) -- split into four groups – will take part in the season’s curtain raiser soccer meet.

Group A : Dhaka Abahani Ltd, Arambagh KS, Bangladesh Police FC
Group B: Bashundhara Kings, Chattogram Abahani Ltd, Brothers Union Club
Group C: Saif Sporting Club, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, Rahmatganj MFS
Group D -Sheikh Russel KC, Muktijoddha Sangsad KC, Dhaka Mohammedan SC, Uttar Baridhara SC.
The popular sky-blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani will play their 2nd and last group match against Arambagh KS on December 24 at 4pm while the BPL champions Bashundhara Kings will take on Ctg Abahani Ltd in their 2nd and last group match on December 26 at 3:30 pm.
The group matches will be played on round robin league basis. Later, two top teams from each group will play in the quarterfinals on December 26 and 27.
The two semifinals will be held on January 1 and 2 while the final will be held on January 4, all at BNS.
The gallery tickets will be available on the match day at the stadium ticket counters, costing Tk 30 each.
