If you wish to buy an OnePlus phone without breaking your bank, consider OnePlus Nord N10. Starting the journey in 2013, the Shenzhen-based Chinese Smartphone manufacturing company OnePlus has acquired a worldwide reputation for producing flagship phones with smarter design, cleaner interface, and premium experience. Surprisingly, on 26th October 2020, OnePlus has launched its entry-level Smartphone OnePlus Nord N10 in the global market. Stay with us to know OnePlus Nord N10 Price in Bangladesh with the full review.
OnePlus Nord N10: Review of Key Features
Design and Build Quality
Surprisingly, N10 looks like a realme phone if the logo is removed. This phone appears with an amazing midnight ice color. The design aesthetics of N10 is not amazing like the Nord series phones. Unlike other OnePlus phones, the premium feel is missing in the Nord N10. Both of its back panel and framework are built with plastic. It would be wise to apply a back cover with this phone as its glossy back-panel is fingerprint hungry.
The N10 comes in a manageable size (163 x 74.7 x 9 mm) and weight (190g), though a bit thicker and heavier than its mid-range ancestor Nord phone. Undoubtedly, N10 is lighter than the similarly priced competitor phones. It has a punch-hole display on the front side. On the rear side, you get a quad-camera housing with a slightly raised bump. There is also a back-mounted fingerprint sensor. This sensor may take some time to read the fingerprint.
OnePlus provides an IPS panel in the N10’s display which may disappoint the Nord fans. The display size (6.49-inch) is good for regular tasks. N10 offers Full HD plus resolution (1000 by 2400 pixels with 20:9 ratios) and 406 PPI densities. The color punches, sharpness, and cooler tones are wonderful. Its display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 version. It is good but version 5 would have been better.
OnePlus Nord N10 has a 90Hz refresh rate like the Nord phone. But you may experience some stuttering while opening or closing apps. If the phone is left unattended for some moments, the 90Hz refresh rate drops down to 60Hz. And, it takes time to reach its full refreshing capacity when you start operating the phone again.
The face unlock works fine. This phone bears a ~83.5% screen-to-body ratio. The bezels look slightly big that spoils the premium feel. With 450 nit brightness, its outdoor visibility performs average. It lacks Widevine L1 support.
On the rear side, the OnePlus Nord N10 sports 64MP (f/1.8) main sensor, 8MP (f/2.3) ultra-wide sensor, 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro sensor. Its main rear camera is built with an Omnivision OV64B sensor. Its sensor size is 1/72-inch and pixel size is 0.79 micron.
Under direct sunlight, you can capture some decent shots with good color contrast. But, the low-light pictures may show some grains. In portrait mode, the edge detections and blurring levels are good in the proper light. However, the picture quality is average. Though over-image-processing may irritate some people, the images look super smooth.
The 8MP ultra-wide camera has a 119-degree field-of-view. But the performance is not so impressive, as the images lose some details. Both the depth and macro cameras deliver average performance. In the video section, N10 can shoot the utmost 4K footage at 30fps through the rear camera. It is also capable of shooting 1080p video at 30fps and 60fps.
Now let’s turn to the front camera. It has an 8MP (f/2.1) selfie camera. Under ample light conditions, you can capture nice photos. The images can hold enough sharpness and details. However, in low light, the images captured by the front camera may dishearten you. With the front camera, 1080p footage can be captured at 30fps and 60fps. You can also shoot 720p slo-mo videos at 240fps.
Overall, the picture and video quality are average. But in this budget, other competitors like, Poco X3 or realme 7 Pro is offering better performance.
OnePlus Nord N10 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series latest chipset 690. This chipset has been designed by Samsung at 8nm architecture. Its octa-core processor is built with two clusters. One has dual Kryo 560 gold cores with a 2.0 GHz clock speed. And, the other has six Kryo 560 Silver cores with a 1.7 GHz clock speed. It is told that the new Snapdragon 690 chipset works about 20% faster than its predecessor 675 version. In the graphics unit, N10 carries Adreno 619L GPU, which is an upgraded version of Adreno 619.
The impressive 6GB RAM fastens the processor performance of N10. What is more? In this phone, you get 128GB of internal storage supported by UFS 2.1 technology. You can easily store a huge amount of media files in OnePlus Nord N10. The extra storage also facilitates the smooth performance of the phone.
Clean Operating System
You may know that the key selling point of the OnePlus phones is the Oxygen OS. The N10 also comes with the Oxygen OS 10.5 based on Android 10. By virtue of the blot ware free cleaner interface of N10, you would get satisfactory experience in daily usage. Though you may experience some frame drops in N10, the updates almost solve those issues.
OnePlus Nord N10 is not a gaming-centric phone. But it performs well for low to moderate level gaming. The Asphalt 9 game runs smoothly on this phone. But some frame drops may occur from time to time. You can also play PUBG at ‘smooth’ graphics and ‘Ultra’ FPS. The Call of Duty (COD) fans can play smoothly at ‘max’ FPS choosing ‘high’ graphics.
Like other phones, N10 may catch some heat after gaming for a long time. Due to plastic back, it may take some time for cooling. What is more? Thanks to OnePlus for providing a headphone jack and dual stereo speaker in this phone.
Battery and Charger
In the battery section, N10 offers a 4300 mAh Li-Po, non-removable battery, which is larger than its premium ancestor Nord’s 4115mAh battery. On moderate use, this battery gives about one day back up. In the box, you get a 30W charging adapter with a cable. Thanks to OnePlus for not removing the charger from the box!
OnePlus Nord 10 5G is unofficially available in Bangladesh at BDT 27,500. The official version is coming soon.
The OnePlus phones are best known for their premium user experience and flagship features. Being an entry-level Smartphone, the OnePlus Nord N10 has some limitations like the plastic body, low battery, lack of AMOLED panel, below-average camera performance, etc. However, this phone is blessed with Oxygen OS which is faster and cleaner than other operating systems.
