The victims are Abu Raihan, a second-year student of Arabic department, and Ahnaf Tahmid, a first-year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering department.
Ahnaf who received severe injuries to his eye was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Abu Raihan claimed that when he along with five of his female fellows was passing by the Institute of Food and Nutrition Sciences to participate in the movement, a group of BCL activists of SM Hall beat him.
As Ahnaf protested the incident, they also beat him.
Meanwhile, the protesters at a press conference in front of the DU Central Library at noon condemned the attack and announced that they will continue the movement to cancel the affiliation of the seven colleges until their demand is met.
“We’ll continue the movement until our demand is met,” spokesperson of the movement Sakil Mia said.
The affiliated colleges are Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Women's College, Mirpur Government Bangla College and Government Titumir College.
