Dhaka, Mar 23 (UNB) – An eight-year-old girl was killed as a towel fastened around his neck in the city’s Demra area on Saturday while playing.
The deceased was identified as Tahsan, son of Giasuddin and a madrasah student. Hailing from Asharkotha village in Ramganj upazila of Laxmipur, Giasuddin has been living in Kadamtala Muslimnagar with his family.
Victim’s maternal uncle Ajgar Ali said Tahsan and his elder brother were playing on the veranda of their 1st floor house at noon.
However, a towel fastened around his neck whereby he became unconscious.
Relatives took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 3pm, said Inspector Bachchu Mia of the DMCH police camp.
