Dhaka, May 5 (UNB) – The third graduation ceremony of Japan Automechanic School was held at Grameen Bank Auditorium of the Grameen Bank Complex on Saturday.
Nobel Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus, also chairman of Japan Automechanic Limited, presided over the programme and distributed certificates among the graduates.
Kazuko Sumino, president of SK Dream Japan, was present at the programme as a special guest, said a Yunus Centre press release on Sunday.
The Japan Automechanic School was established in 2015 as a joint venture between Grameen Shikkha and SK Dream Japan. It provides two-year automechanic training to poor Bangladeshi school-dropout young men in Japanese best practice automechanics and panel beating/painting techniques.
