A passenger with 1,425 Yaba pills in his rectum was arrested from the domestic terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday afternoon.

The arrestee was identified as Helal Uddin, 32, son of Abul Quashem of Ukhiya upazila in Cox’s Bazar.

Alamgir Hossain, additional superintendent of Airport Armed Police (Operation and Media), said police arrested him following his suspicious behaviour at the terminal.

He confessed to carrying Yaba in his rectum to supply those to one Alamgir of Mirpur-12, the police official said.

A case was filed with Airport Police Station in this connection.
