Dhaka, Oct 23 (UNB) - The rail communications of Khulna with other parts of the country were restored after around three and half hours of suspension following an accident in Noapara of Abhaynagar upazila on Tuesday morning.
The accident took place around 7:35 am when Rajshahi-bound ‘Kobotak Express Train’ from Khulna hit a truck while it was passing through an illegal rail crossing, leaving the train engine dysfunctional on the tracks, said Station Master Md Mohsin of Noapara Railway Station.
However, the rail communication was restored around 10:55 am after clearing the route, said the station master.
