Benapole, June 17 (UNB) - Six Bangladeshi teenage girls who were trafficked to India, returned home through Benapole check post on Monday afternoon.
Border Security Force (BSF) of India handed over the girls, all aged between 13 to 15 to the members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
The teenagers were lured to India with promises of good jobs, said officer-in-charge of Benapole port police Masud Karim.
Bangladesh Female Lawyers Association along with Impulse NGO Sanglap Network, of Kolkata in India made the arrangements for the girls’ return.
The returnees have been handed over to their respective families, the OC said.
