On the first day of first two-day intra-squad of Bangladesh national team, Saif Hassan and Soumya Sarkar hit the fifties while Taskin Ahmed and Taijul Islam shone with the ball taking three wickets each. 

The match began on Friday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, and it will end tomorrow. The members of the national team are playing this game dividing into two squads— Ottis Gibson XI and Ryan Cook XI. 

Ottis Gibson XI is batting first and they scored 230 runs for all wickets in 63.4 overs. 

Saif Hassan and Imrul Kayes opened the innings for Ottis Gibson XI. Imrul fell for 7, but Saif posted 64 runs which is the highest individual score for the team. 

Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Mahmudullah Riayd posted 42 and 34 respectively while Soumya Sarkar scored 51. 

Taskin and Taijul bagged 3 wickets each conceding 45 and 70 runs respectively while Mohammad Mithun and Saifuddin scalped two and one wickets respectively. 

The match will continue on Saturday. After this game, the Bangladesh team will play two more intra-squad games within October 15.
