Both DSE, CSE gain on Wednesday

Both DSE, CSE gain on Wednesday
Dhaka, Nov 18 (UNB) – The key share price indices at the country’s twin bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – experienced marginal gain on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

 

The DSE key index, DSEX slightly gained 0.33 points or 0.01 percent to close at 4496.68 on the day. Of the 308 issues traded, 142 gained, 137 declined and 29 remained unchanged.

 

Shares worth Tk 347.17 crore changed hands at the DSE on Wednesday against Tk 402.19 crore on Tuesday.

 

Miracle Industries topped the top 10 gainers list at Dhaka bourse while other companies were Union Capital, Atlas Bangladesh, HR Textile, Phoenix Finance and Investments, Quasem Drycells, Golden Harvest Agro Industries, United Finance, LR Global Bangladesh Mutual Fund One and Usmania Glass.

 

The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were Saif Powertec, Titas Gas, Ifad Autos, Beximco Pharma and Quasem Drycells.

 

Top five losers at the DSE were Rahim Textile, Gemini Sea Food, Alltex Industries, Desh Garmants and MI Cement Factory.

 

The key index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), CASPI gained 4.33 points to reach 13724.70 at close on Wednesday. Of the 228 issues traded, 90 advanced, 102 suffered loss and 36 remained unchanged.

 

The value of the traded issues at the port city bourse was Tk 23.94 crore on the day.
