Dhaka, Nov 18 (UNB) - A weeklong photo exhibition titled “Refugee: Supplant Rohingya” is underway at the gallery-5 of the Bangladesh Shilapakala Academy in the city.
Bangla daily Prothom Alo organized the exhibition to showcase the tragic life of the Rohingyas who took shelter in Bangladesh amid persecution in Myanmar.
A total of 67 photographs on Rohingya crisis taken by eight staff photographers of Prothom Alo are being displayed.
Chief Information Commissioner Golam Rahman inaugurated the exhibition on Friday. Editor and researcher Syed Abul Maksud, Prothom Alo editor Motiur Rahman, photographer Akkas Mahmud and others were present at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
The exhibition will continue until November 24 from 11 am to 8 pm everyday.
