Coronavirus: CMP using drones to ensure social distancing
Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) is using drones to ensure that people maintain social distancing and do not come out of their homes without emergency works.
Though police are raising awareness about maintaining social distance, people are hardly paying any attention. People continue to gather at alleys ignoring the government directive aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus.
Whenever police approach, they run away and again come out when the law enforcers leave. CMP sources said they will use the drones to take photos and videos of people violating government directive and take action against them.

Coronavirus: Laxmipur reports 2nd case
A coronavirus patient has been detected in Laxmipur’s Ramgati upazila, taking the total number of cases in the district to two.
Confirming the matter, Civil Surgeon Abdul Gaffar said the new patient returned home from Narayanganj.
He was taken to Alexander Health Complex after he fell sick. His sample was collected on Friday and sent to Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) in Chattogram for test, Gaffar said.
BITID test confirmed that the man was infected with coronavirus, the Civil Surgeon said.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Saturday said Dhaka's Mirpur, Basabo and Narayangaj have so far been the most infected regions.
On Sunday, the district administration locked down Laxmipur to prevent further transmission of coronavirus.
Bangladesh recorded its highest number of coronavirus cases in a day on Sunday with 139 new cases. So far, the country has confirmed 621 cases.
Besides, four more people died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours which has raised the death toll to 34.
Coronavirus: Global death toll hits 114,247
The global death toll from coronavirus reached 114,247 on Monday morning.
There have been 1,853,155 confirmed cases around the world after the highly contagious disease was first reported in China in December last year, according to worldometer.
Of those infected, 1,315,354 are currently being treated and 50,757 of them are in serious or critical condition.

A police and a child were among seven people diagnosed with coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Chattogram.
Soon after the test reports came in, Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) locked down its north zone barrack on Sunday night.
The traffic constable had been undergoing treatment for the last five days at the divisional police hospital. He has now been shifted to Andarkilla General Hospital, said Dr Hasan Shahriar, Chattogram divisional director of the Directorate General of Health Services.
