Covid claims 4 more lives, infects 446 others
Bangladesh recorded four more Covid-19-linked deaths with 446 new cases in 24 hours till Saturday morning.
With the latest figures, the country's total fatalities reached 29,262 while the caseload to 2,001,345, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The deceased - three men and a woman- were from Dhaka, Khulna and Sylhet divisions.

The daily case positivity rate rose to 10.10 per cent from Friday’s 8.36 per cent as 4,415 samples were tested.
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.46 per cent. The recovery rate rose to 96.67 per cent from Friday's 96.62 per cent.
In June, the country reported 18 Covid-linked deaths and 20,201 new cases, according to the DGHS.

Covid-19: 2 more die, 620 new cases reported in 24hrs
Bangladesh registered two more Covid-linked deaths with 620 cases in 24 hours till Friday morning.
With the latest figures, the country's total fatalities reached 29,258 while the caseload 2,000,899, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest fatalities - both men - were from Barishal and Sylhet divisions.
The daily case positivity rate decreased to 8.36 per cent from Thursday's 12.20 per cent as 7,419 samples were tested.
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.46 per cent. The recovery rate rose to 96.62 per cent from Thursday's 96.52 per cent as 1,765 patients recovered during this period.

Of the deceased, four were men while two were women.
Of them, two each were from Dhaka and Barishal divisions while one each was from Khulna and Mymensing division.
The daily case positivity rate increased to 12.20 per cent from Tuesday's 9.66 per cent as 9,010 samples were tested.
The mortality rate dropped to 9.81 from Wednesday’s 1.46 per cent. The recovery rate rose to 96,56 from Wednesday’s 96.52 per as 1,602 patients recovered during this period.

Of the deceased, seven were men and one woman. The deceased were from Dhaka, Khulna, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions.
The daily case positivity rate declined to 9.66 per cent from Monday's 9.77 per cent as 9,099 samples were tested.
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.46 per cent. The recovery rate rose to 96.51 per cent from Monday's 96.47 per cent.

Five more people died from Covid in the country and 1,007 others tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning.
With the latest figures, the country's total fatalities reached 29,230 while the caseload to 1,995,440, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the deceased, four were men and another was woman. Four of them were from Dhaka division while one from Chattogram.

Global Covid cases top 565 million
The overall number of Covid cases has now crossed 565 million amid a rise in new infections in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
According to the latest global data, the total case count mounted to 565,319,719 and the death toll from the virus reached 6,382,249 Friday morning.
The US has recorded 91,060,225 cases so far and 1,048,232 people have died from the virus in the country, the data shows.

India reported 14,936 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, taking the total case tally to 43,704,925, according to a health ministry update.
The country logged 38 more Covid-related deaths, taking the toll to 525,557. Meanwhile, the active caseload stood at 151,012 according to the ministry.
Covid in Bangladesh

The daily case positivity rate however declined to 11.82 per cent from Wednesday’s 13.79 per cent as 11,126 samples were tested during the period.
Four of the deceased were men, while two were woman.
Three of them were from Dhaka while another three were from Mymensingh division.

The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.47 per cent. The recovery rate rose to 96.28 per cent as 1,747 patients recovered during the period.

As Covid is spreading fast, the daily case positivity rate declined to 15.59 per cent from Friday's 16.82 percent from as 6,024 samples were tested during the period.

The daily case positivity rate slightly declined to 16.54 from Wednesday’s 16.89 per as 10, 822 samples were tested during the period, said the DGHS.

Global Covid cases cross 555 million
The overall number of Covid cases has now surpassed 555 million amid a rise in new infections in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
According to the latest global data, the total case count mounted to 555,233,865 and the death toll from the virus reached 6,362,437 Tuesday morning.
The US has recorded 89,567,321 cases so far and 1,043,372 people have died from the virus in the country, the data shows.

With 14,224 new cases in 24 hours, India recorded 43,532,788 new Covid cases, data released by the country's federal health ministry showed on Sunday.
Besides, 31 deaths due to Covid since Saturday morning took the total death toll to 525,223.
Covid in Bangladesh

The fresh numbers took the country's total caseload to 1,980,974 and fatalities to 29,174, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The country last reported 13 Covid-linked deaths with 368 cases on March 5 this year.
The daily case positivity rate rose to 16.51% from Sunday’s 15.53% as 13,842 samples were tested during the period, said the DGHS.

Of the deceased, nine were men and three were women. Of them, nine were from Dhaka and one each from Chattogram, Khulna and Mymensingh divisions.
Of the 22 deaths reported from June 27 to July 3, some 72.7% received vaccine doses against Covid-19.
On Sunday, the country recorded two Covid-linked deaths with 1,902 new cases.
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.47%. The recovery rate declined to 96.36% from Sunday’s 96.44% as 482 patients recovered during this period.
