13-year-old driving microbus killed in Chuadanga road crash
A 13-year-old boy was killed as the microbus he was driving crashed into a roadside tree in Damurhuda upazila of Chudanga district Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Riyad Hossain, son of Yunus Biswas of Aramdanga village of Karpasdanga union of the upazila.

The accident occurred when the microbus hit a roadside tree at Karpsdanga Natunpara area around 8:00am, Ferdous Wahid, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Damurhuda Model Police Station, said.
Riyad died on the spot, added the OC.
4 killed in road crash in Rangpur
Four passengers of an autorickshaw died as the vehicle fell into a three-way collision with a truck and ambulance at Taraganj upazila in Rangpur Monday.
The deceased were identified as Sahir Uddin, 40, Khademul Islam 38, Azanur Rahman, 45 and Habibullah, 45, said Anis, a firefighter of Taraganj Fire Service and Civil Defence.

The accident occurred around 6:30 pm near Nengti Chera bridge on Rangpur-Dinajpur highway.
The autorickshaw heading toward Syedpur collided with a truck and ambulance coming from the opposite side leaving four people dead on the spot, said police quoting witnesses.
Two more people were injured in the accident and had been admitted to hospital.
2-yr-old crushed under BRTC bus in Dhaka
A two-year-old girl was crushed under a bus in Mirpur area of the capital on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Raisa, a resident of Mirpur.
The accident occurred around 8pm when Raisa along with her mother was traveling to Mirpur 1 by a rickshaw from Technical area, said Darussalam Police Station Officer-in-charge (OC) Aminul Bashar.

Raisa fell from the rickshaw following a collision with an auto rickshaw in Technical intersection and then was crushed under the wheels of a bus of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC), he added.
OC Aminul said the child's head was crushed under the wheel of the bus.

“So only the remaining body part could be recovered and sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue.”

4th-grader killed in Dhaka road crash while returning from sister's wedding
A fourth-grader, who peeped out of the window of a bus, was killed in the capital's Hazaribagh Wednesday afternoon after he was hit by a covered van.
The deceased Sayeed, 11, was from Cumilla's Homna.
The accident occurred at Pilkhana Gate 1, while the 11-year-old was returning to his village home along with his family members after attending the wedding reception of his elder sister.

The critically injured Sayeed was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he was declared dead around 7:30pm, Md Bachhu Miah, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost, said.
The body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
Covered van-auto rickshaw collision leaves 2 dead in Kushtia
Two people were killed and three others injured in a collision between a covered van and CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Kushtia's Bheramara upazila on Wednesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Khandaker Ruhul Amin,60, son of late Lal Babu of Juniadaho village of Bheramara upazila and Majnu Ali,55, son of Tushta Kha of the same area.
The accident occurred around 10am when the covered van crashed into the CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Bakapole area on Bheramara-Allahrdarga road in the upazila, leaving the duo dead and three others injured, Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bheramara police station said.

Of the injured, Habiba Khatun,45, wife of Majnu, is now undergoing treatment at Bheramara upazila Health Complex, he added.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Kushtia General Hospital morgue for autopsies.
"Police seized the covered van, but its driver managed to flee," OC Rafiqul said.
Two dead in Mymensingh road crash
Two people were killed and another person was injured in a collision between a truck and an autorickshaw on the Mymensingh-Sherpur road in the district Tuesday.
The deceased---passenger Sohag Mandal and autorickshaw driver Hafizul Islam, were residents of Sadar and Imadpur unions respectively of Phulpur upazila of the district.
Abul Khayer, officer-in-charge of Tarakanda police station, said the accident happened around 11am when the speeding truck rammed into the autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction in Khamar Bazar area, leaving the trio critically injured.

They were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where the duo succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment, he said.
The bodies were kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
Road crash kills boy in Dhaka
A 10-year-old boy died after being hit by an unidentified bus in the capital’s Dholaipara area on Tuesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Yeas, a resident of Jurain Munshibari Shahadat Hossain Road under Shyampur police station in the capital.

Md Sajal Miah, a pedestrian, said he found the boy in a critical condition after the bus hit him in front of Delta Hospital around 5.30pm.
Later, he rushed the boy to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where physicians declared him dead around 6.30pm.
Md Bachhu Miah, inspector of the DMCH police outpost, said the body has been kept at the morgue for autopsy.
Three of a family killed in Madaripur road crash
A man and his two nephews were killed as their tractor overturned and fell into a canal on Saturday evening in Madaripur.
The deceased were identified as Jahirul Islam, 22, son of Jalil Farazi, and his nephews Jobayer Howlader, 10, and Zihad Howlader, 7, sons of Kalu Howlader from South Madra in Sadar upazila.
The accident occurred when they were returning home after ploughing their land and Jahirul was trying to take the vehicle up a high road and it overturned.

Locals rescued and took them to Madaripur Sadar Hospital where the doctor announced them dead on arrival, said Md Monwar Hossain Chowdhury, officer-in-Charge of Madaripur sadar police station.
3 of a family dead in Thakurgon road accident
A couple and their daughter were killed as a bus hit their motorbike on Thakurgaon-Baliadanga road in Sadar upazila of the district Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Masudur Rahman, 55, his wife Hasina Begum, 45 and their 14-year-old daughter Meger Negar Simi. They were residents of Mathurapur village in Sadar upazila.
Police and witnesses said riding on the motorbike the couple was taking their daughter to a madrasha as her annual examination was going on.

The Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Hanif Paribahan’ rammed into the motorbike in Hariharpur area around 9.30am, leaving Hasina dead on the spot and two others critically injured, they said.
Masudur and his daughter succumbed to their injuries after they were admitted to Sadar Hospital, said Shihab Mahmud, a physician of the hospital.
Kamal Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Sadar police station, said drive is on to arrest the bus driver.

MBSTU student killed in Tangail motorcycle crash
A third-year student of a public university was killed in Tangail after his motorcycle crashed into another two-wheeler Thursday night, police said.
The deceased identified as Nurul Absar Jewel, 24, was a student of the textile department of the Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) and from Ramu upazila, Cox's Bazar.

"The accident occurred around 7:30pm in the Sabalia area of Tangail town as Jewel's motorcycle collided with another motorcycle. He immediately died from the impact of the crash," Sub-Inspector Md Nabin, in-charge of Tangail General Hospital Police Box, said.
The body has been sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy, he added.
