IBBL holds Shariah Supervisory Committee meeting
Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) recently organised a meeting of its Shariah Supervisory Committee on a virtual platform.
Professor Mohammad Gias Uddin Talukder, chairman of the committee, presided over the meeting.

Muhammad Qaisar Ali, managing director of the bank, Mufti Sayeed Ahmad, vice-chairman, and Professor Mohammad Abdus Samad, member secretary of the committee, joined the meeting along with other members.

A meeting of the board of directors of the Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) was held Sunday on a virtual platform.
Professor Md Nazmul Hassan, chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting.

Areef Suleman, foreign director and representative of the Islamic Development Bank, IBBL vice-chairmen Yousif Abdullah Al-Rajhi and Md Shahabuddin attended the meeting.
Mohammed Monirul Moula, managing director and CEO of the IBBL, and JQM Habibullah, deputy managing director and company secretary of the bank, also joined it.
The IBBL is a joint venture public limited company engaged in commercial banking business based on Islamic Shariah. It is listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange.

IBBL, National Hospital sign MoU
Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) and National Hospital, Chattogram signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on corporate facilities recently at the IBBL Chattogram Zone Office.
Under this agreement, IBBL officials, their family members, Debit and Khidmah Credit cardholders will get discounts from National Hospital.
JQM Habibullah, deputy managing director of IBBL, and Dr Mohammad Yousuf, managing director of National Hospital, signed the agreement.

Cardholders of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) will now enjoy discounts while paying bills at Epic Health Care, Chattogram.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was recently signed at the bank's Chattogram Zone Office.
Under this agreement, Debit and Khidmah Credit cardholders of IBBL, and the bank's officials and their family members will get the discounts.

IBBL inaugurates stall at DITF
Islami Bank Bangladesh (IBBL) has inaugurated a stall at the Dhaka International Trade Fair 2022 in Purbachal's Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre.
Mohammed Monirul Moula, managing director and CEO of the bank, inaugurated the stall.
Along with providing modern banking and information services to visitors, customers and traders, it is also collecting government revenues – value added tax (VAT), tax and other fees – through the automated challan system (ACS).

Merchants can deposit their VAT, Tax and other fees of daily transactions at this stall through this system.
The services at the stall include account opening, cash deposit and withdrawals through CRM and ATM booths.
IBBL has been providing banking services to buyers and visitors since 2012 at the Dhaka International Trade Fair.

Nesco bills can be paid through IBBL
Customers of Northern Electricity Supply Company Limited (Nesco) will now be able to pay their bills through Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL).
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was exchanged Thursday at a Dhaka hotel.
Mohammed Monirul Moula, managing director and CEO of IBBL, and Zakiul Islam, managing director of Nesco, handed over the papers.

Md Omar Faruk Khan, additional managing director of IBBL, Md Mahboob Alam, senior executive vice-president of the bank, and Syed Golam Ahammad, executive director (finance) of Nesco, were also present.
Nesco provides electricity services in 16 districts of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions.

IBBL receives ICMAB Best Corporate Award
Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) has received the gold award of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) Best Corporate Award 2020 in the private commercial bank (Islamic operation) category.
Mohammed Monirul Moula, managing director and CEO of the bank, received the award from Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi in the capital Thursday.

IBBL opens 384th Branch at Ranirhat of Chattogram
The managing director (MD) of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) Mohammed Monirul Moula on Sunday said Islami Bank has been awarded as a top taxpayer and is recognized as a sustainable bank in sustainability ranking by Bangladesh Bank.
He said Islami Bank is providing high-tech banking services to its clients through 384 branches, 208 sub-branches, 2700 agent outlets and more than 2000 ATMs and CRM machines across the country.
He came up with remarks while inaugurating 384th Branch of the bank at Ranirhat of Chattogram on Sunday.

Islami bank financed a large number of industries in different sectors including agriculture, RMG, Denim, sugar refinery and many others small as well as heavy industries, said Moula.
