Bangladesh sees no dengue case in 24 hrs
No new dengue case was reported in the last 24 hours until 8am on Tuesday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Only one dengue patient is currently being treated at the hospital, according to a daily update from DGHS.
Bangladesh health authorities reported 304 dengue cases since the beginning of this year. Of them, 303 patients have been discharged.
The country had a massive dengue outbreak last year when 101,354 people were hospitalised. Of them, 101,037 made full recovery.
According to official figures, the mosquito-borne disease killed 179 people last year.
Coronavirus: Bangladesh reports 1,166 new cases
The health authorities reported detection of 1,166 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours after testing 5,407 samples.
