Bangladesh reports 16 more dengue cases
Nineteen more people were hospitalised with dengue in the 24 hours till Thursday morning.
Of the new patients, six were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and 10 outside it, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 75 dengue patients, including 35 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

So far, the DGHS has recorded 454 dengue cases, 374 recoveries, and five deaths this year.
The country recorded 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.

With the new number, the official death toll from dengue rose to five this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new patients, eight were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and six outside it.

A total of 80 dengue patients, including 39 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
So far, the DGHS has recorded 438 dengue cases, 353 recoveries.

Besides, 22 people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease. Of the new patients, five were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and 17 outside it.
One hundred and twenty dengue patients, including 48 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
