Besides, the paramilitary force recovered eight air guns, one gun and five bullets during the period.
The smuggled contraband drugs included 1,072,011 Yaba tablets, 34,111 bottles of Phensidyl syrup, 6.40 kg heroin, 625 kg cannabis, 10,563 bottles of foreign wine and 4,527 cans of beer while smuggled goods included 5,010 saris, 776 three-piece sets, 105 metres loincloth, 42 motorcycles, 12,251 kg tea and 2.636 kg gold.
BGB also arrested 210 people for their alleged involvement in smuggling goods and contraband drugs.
Besides, 109 Bangladeshis were arrested for illegally crossing different borders during the period, said BGB Headquarters Public Relations Officer Mohsin Reza.
So far, smuggled goods and illegal drugs worth around Tk 770.66 crore have been seized by the BGB in the last 10 months till October 31, he added.
