Speakers at the inagural ceremony of ‘TigerScout Annual Camp-2019’ praised the young Tiger Scouts who are working for the conservation of tigers and other wild animals in the Sundarbans.
Md Moyeen Uddin Khan, Conservator of Forests (CF), Khulna Circle opened the camp and acclaimed the young and energetic Tiger Scouts who voluntarily work for the conservation of tigers and other wild animals.
He hoped that the Tiger Scouts will continue their works in the future even after passing secondary school and proposed to create opportunities to engage them for their respective roles.
Two Tiger Scouts- Sinthia Ahmed and Saimon Boyati- spoke about their activities, role and responsibilities, and their future dreams as a Tiger Scout .
Md Bashirul-Al-Mamun, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Sundarbans West Forest Division, Khulna and Md Mahmudul Hassan, DFO, Sundarbans East Forest Division, Bagerhat were present as special guests with Conservation Manager of WildTeam, Ram Krishna Mohanta in the chair.
Md Mahmudul Hassan acclaimed TigerScouts for their knowledge and skills for the conservation of the Sundarbans reserve gorest and to protect tiger habitats inside the forest.
Describing the importance of saving tigers for the conservation of the Sundarbans, Md Bashirul-Al-Mamun said Tiger Scouts are doing great in raising community awareness to conserve tigers and other wildlife.
