Bangladesh made a flying start in both the men’s and women’s groups of the maiden Kho Kho World Cup held in the Indian capital New Delhi Tuesday morning.
Bangladesh men’s team put in five–team Group C of the World Cup with USA, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Poland.
Bangladesh men’s team made a flying start beating Sri Lanka by 57-24 points in their inaugural match on Tuesday. Edil Pramanik of Bangladesh was adjudged the man of the match while Rabiul Islam of Bangladesh named as the best defender of the match.

Bangladesh women’s team, also placed in Group C with Germany, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan, outplayed Sri Lanka by 79-14 points in the first match at the same venue Tuesday morning.
Bangladeshi players Ritu Rani Saha named as the best player while Surovi Khatun was adjudged the best attacker of the match.
A total of 20 men’s and 19 women’s teams are taking part in the maiden Kho Kho World Cup.
