He made the remark at a seminar at Long Gallery in Belfast in Northern Ireland on Thursday.
Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh High Commission in London Muhammad Zulqar Nain was present at the programme.
Minister Saifuzzaman told the seminar that along with achieving Millennium Development Goals, Bangladesh has been working to take the economy forward.
The seminar, ‘Bangladesh- A Golden Journey to Development’, was organised by Study Circle, a UK-based research organisation. It was supported by Máirtín Ó Muilleoir MLA, Chris Lyttle MLA and Mike Nesbitt MLA of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
Former Supreme Court judge AHM Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik and International Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Dr Shammi Ahmed spoke at the seminar.
Study Circle President Syed Mozammel Ali presided over the programme while Muilleoir delivered the welcome speech.
Speakers at the seminar praised the development of Bangladesh.
Local political representatives, Northern Ireland’s business community, charity and voluntary members, Bangladeshi expatriates, educationists, journalists and diplomats were present at the seminar.
