A physician who sustained burn injuries in a fire that broke out at his flat in Hatirpool area, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Dr Razib Bhattachrya, 37, who was undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, said the body was sent to morgue for autopsy.
Bhattachrya and his wife Dr Anusha Bhattacharya, 32, were admitted to the hospital on July 22, after they were injured in the fire that erupted when a bottle of hand sanitiser came in contact with a mosquito coil.
