The demand to support Amin was first raised in an Extra Ordinary General Meeting of BDDFA held at the Hotel Cox Today in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday where constitution of the organization was also approved by the delegates.
BDDFA President and Chattogram City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin presided over the meeting.
Addressing the meeting AJM Nasiruddin said “In the last BFF elections we wholeheartedly supported KaziM Salahuddin as the president but he did not honour commitments given to us, this time we will prefer a man who is committed to develop country’s overall football including the grassroots level, I think TarafderRuhul Amin is the right person”
Tarafder M. Ruhul Amin, also the secretary general of BDDFA, said, “Football conquers my heart and I feel guilty to see the existing football scenario, I don’t have any personal aspiration, I just want to develop football, when Bangladesh is moving forward in every sector, but football has deteriorated, it should be changed”.
Delegates of 60 districts, five divisions and representatives of different public universities were present in the EGM, said a press release on Saturday.
