Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club registered their second win in the ongoing Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League beating Gazi Group Cricketers by 36 runs on Friday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
It was Doleshwar’s spin-bowling attack who destroyed the backbone of Gazi Group’s batting line.
Sharifullah, Shamim Hossain and Enamul Haque Jnr shared two wickets each to wrap up the Gazi Group for 108 all wickets in 19 overs, who were chasing a target of 145 runs and lost the game by 36 runs.
Earlier, Doleshwar won the toss and opted to bat first and posted 144 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. They lost their openers inside 46 runs, with Nasum Ahmed bagging both the wickets.
In the third wicket stand, Saif Hassan and Fazle Mahmud added 65 runs, which was the highest partnership in their innings. The stand was broken when Saif fell prey to Mahmudullah for 37. The Gazi Group captain also scalped the wicket of Fazle who posted 39.
Along with Nasum and Mahmudullah, Mukidul Islam of Gazi Group bagged two wickets.
