India says landline phone service fully restored in Kashmir
Srinagar, Sep 5 (AP/UNB) — Officials say they have restored all landline phone service in Indian-administered Kashmir after suspending most communications, including mobile internet, on Aug. 5 when India's Hindu nationalist-led government revoked the Muslim-majority region's special constitutional status and imposed a strict security lockdown.
23 killed, many injured after explosion at firecracker factory in Punjab's Gurdaspur
Dhaka, Sept 5 (UNB) - At least 23 people were killed and 27 injured after a massive explosion on Wednesday at an unauthorised firecracker manufacturing factory in a densely-populated residential area in Punjab's Gurdaspur.
