realme 11 Pro Plus Review: Mid-range phone with flagship features
realme 11 series smartphones have already got popularity for combining latest features and smart looks under affordable price ranges. realme 11 Pro Plus is the latest addition to this series. It was launched on May 10 in China. Though being a mid-range smartphone, realme 11 Pro+ offers some exclusive features like the flagship devices. Let’s see what's special about this phone.
Key Features of realme 11 Pro+
Design and Display
Featuring a front-panel punch-hole cutout and a quad-camera setup on the rear, the realme 11 Pro Plus is a fully-loaded device. This latest smartphone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a pixel density of 394 ppi, offering a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels. With a remarkable 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio, the phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a face unlock feature, ensuring enhanced security.
It showcases a sleek design and solid build quality. It has dimensions measuring either 161.6 x 73.9 x 8.2 mm and weighs approximately 183 g or 189 g (6.46 oz). The device features a glass front, providing a smooth and polished appearance, while the back is available in options of either leather or plastic. Additionally, the realme 11 Pro Plus comes with a durable plastic frame, ensuring sturdiness and protection.

The phone will be available in three color variations, Black, Green, and Gold.
Camera
It comes with a triple camera setup on the back 200 MP wide camera, 8 MP ultra-wide, and 2 MP macro lens. But the star of the show is the 200 MP main camera, which utilizes Samsung’s ISOCELL HP3 sensor. Despite realme and Samsung being direct competitors in the mid-range phone market, the two companies collaborated closely to enhance the camera performance specifically for the realme device, as per their marketing claims.
The realme 11 Pro Plus attaches the power of its 200MP camera to deliver impressive capabilities. One notable feature is the utilization of 16-in-1 pixel binning, which enables the device to generate a 12.5MP image that contains 16 times more information than a typical 12MP photo. This innovative technology allows the camera to capture significantly brighter images, surpassing what would typically be expected from a sensor of its compact size.

Another notable capability of the realme 11 Pro Plus is its ability to leverage all 200 million pixels and employ in-sensor cropping to create “zoom” photos that maintain a remarkable level of detail and sharpness. realme takes pride in highlighting that its phone is the sole device within its price range to offer true in-sensor crop functionality, a feature previously exclusive to more expensive smartphones like the iPhone 14 Pro and Xiaomi’s flagship models.
Despite all those impressive features, the realme 11 Pro Plus doesn’t have a dedicated zoom lens. But you can zoom up to 4x with the regular lens, and it is quite notable. In addition, the realme 11 Pro Plus is equipped with a 32 MP front camera.
Overall the camera system provides a wide array of features, including AI capabilities, Night Mode, Slow-motion, Portrait Mode, Panorama, Burst mode, Face Beauty, QR Code scanning, Display Flash, HDR, Flashlight, as well as hybrid zoom, optical image stabilization, and support for up to 1080P video recording.

In terms of connectivity, the realme 11 Pro Plus offers compatibility with 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. Additionally, NFC functionality is available on the device. Notably, the phone features an in-display fingerprint sensor, ensuring both fast and secure biometric authentication.
Hardware and Software
The Realme 11 Pro Plus is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7050 (6 nm) Processor, which is renowned as one of the top budget processors available in the market. The phone is available in three storage variations 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. However, all the variations come with 12 GB RAM. Since you are getting huge storage options, it doesn’t have any external SD card option.

Pros and Cons of realme 11 Pro Plus

While the realme 11 Pro Plus offers a range of impressive features, it also has a few cons to consider. It lacks reverse or wireless charging support, which may be a drawback for those seeking convenient and cable-free charging options.
Additionally, it does not feature any Gorilla Glass protection, making the display more susceptible to scratches and damage. Another notable downside is the absence of an optical zoom camera, limiting the device’s zoom capabilities for capturing distant subjects.
Final Words
Based on its camera, hardware, stylish leather-backed design, and impressive 120Hz AMOLED panel, it is evident that the realme 11 Pro Plus follows in the footsteps of its predecessors in delivering excellent value at an affordable price. realme C55 Review: A Promising Budget-friendly Phone
The realme C55 is a budget-friendly smartphone offering satisfactory camera performance, a unique design, and decent overall functionality. The phone was officially launched in Bangladesh on April 2, 2023. Let's take a look at key specifications, pros, cons, and prices of relame C55 in Bangladesh.
Key Features of realme C55
Design
The realme C55 is a smartphone that boasts a 6.7-inch display with a screen protector applied during manufacturing, which is a nice added feature considering its affordable price range. It measures 165.6 x 75.9 x 7.89 mm or 6.51 x 2.98 x 0.31 inches and weighs 189.5 grams or 0.41 pounds, making it less ideal for individuals with small hands.
The ‘Rainy Night’ or black version has an elegant appearance, especially with the design of the camera system. The back of the phone is made of plastic, which tends to accumulate dust quickly and feels slippery. The phone's left side has only the SIM tray and the punching hole, while the right side has the Power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner and the Volume rocker.
Read More: April 2023 New Release: Top 8 Upcoming Smartphones in Bangladesh
On the bottom edge holds a USB-Type C port for charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a speaker, and a microphone. Although it lacks Gorilla Glass for display protection and dust or water resistance, the realme C55's design gives an impression of a more expensive smartphone.
Display
The display of the realme smartphone is an economy model and uses a conventional IPS LCD. However, the 6.72-inch display is average, and the colors are easy on the eye. The IPS screen is even better than some newer models in 2023, except for the white color slightly darkening when tilted.
The screen's peak brightness is 680 nits, which is enough to use the phone outdoors on a sunny day. Interestingly, the minimum brightness is only 2 nits, making it perfect for nighttime use without disturbing others. The screen offers several color display modes, including Vivid, Natural mode, and Pro, with two more modes available in the latter for finer color reproduction.
Read More: Samsung Galaxy A54 5G Review: Worth the price tag?
The screen refresh rate is 90Hz, with three operating modes to choose from: standard 60Hz, 90Hz, and auto mode. However, the auto mode tends to use 60Hz more often, conserving battery life. The screen options include light/dark themes, screen color mode selection, vision protection, auto-rotate, auto-off, refresh rate selection, display/hide front camera cutout, and full-screen mode for non-optimized apps.
Camera
The realme C55 smartphone, despite being a budget device, manages to exceed expectations with its camera setup. It features a 64-megapixel primary rear camera and a 2-megapixel sensor. It also offers an 8MP selfie camera. Both the primary rear sensor and the front sensor perform well under broad daylight.
Switching to the 64 MP mode, there is a slight improvement in capturing details, which may not be noticeable at first glance but is apparent upon closer inspection. The Bokeh Flare Portrait mode and AI Color Portrait mode, however, tend to mess up the edges of the focused objects.

realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition Review: A Coke Lover’s Dream Phone
realme has acquired reputation by bringing a unique combination of innovation, spec, and price for the users. Their feature-packed devices and affordable price tag attract customers from all bases. In this legacy realme released the 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola edition on 10th February 2023 globally. It's realme’s signature device with a twist of Coca-Cola fizz and flavor. Here’s our detailed take on the phone.
Key Features of the realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition
Design and Build Quality
The design takes the center stage in the limited edition realme 10 Pro 5G. If you’re buying the device from China, it’ll come in a large commemorative box complete with a realme memento made in collaboration with the signature Coca-Cola red theme.
If you’re getting the retail box, you’ll still get a great deal of stuff inside other than the device itself. There’s a Coca-Cola-themed message and card outlining the limited serial number of the device. realme even tweaked the sim card ejector tool to make it in the shape of Coca Cola glass bottle cap.

Moving onto the design of the device itself, the front appears to be just like the standard 10 Pro. However, the entire Coca-Cola collaboration is evident on the back. There is a half-cut Coca-Cola signature on the back in the traditional white-on-red drape. The other third of the back is matte black vertical to the camera housing. The camera module also gets two distinct red bands around the sensors to make the collaboration even more prominent.
All the ports and buttons are standard from the realme 10 Pro 5G. The 3.5 mm headphone jack stays on for another generation, being placed right beside the USB Type C port. The power button which also doubles as the fingerprint scanner is placed on the right side of the device along with the volume rockers.
Overall, the unique appeal of the limited edition is on full display on the back. If you’re planning to flaunt the device, we suggest you go caseless or go for a clear case option.

Display
The Display on the realme 10 Pro 5G is an IPS LCD one. Considering the price of the device, the choice of a 6.72-inch IPS LCD is understandable. The panel is an FHD+ one with sharp and vivid colors. It’s resolution is about 1080 by 2400 pixels. Even though it is an LCD panel, realme has done an amazing job at tweaking the panel for vibrancy.
The high peak brightness and the 120 Hz refresh rate also enhance the display quality further. We tested the normal brightness to be around 600 nits with the HBM kicking it up to 680 nits under direct sunlight.
The high refresh rate and the vivid colors make the 10 Pro an ideal media consumption device. We can guarantee you, the display interaction with this device would be top-notch for the budget.

realme 10 Pro Plus: Massive Return of the Classic
The youth-centric Smartphone brand realme has touched the ceiling of popularity with its affordable devices with advanced specifications. In this legacy, the phones of realme 10 series offer astounding features. The aesthetic looks and up-to-date specs of the phones have robbed attention of smartphone lovers. On November 2022, realme has brought another addition to the realme 10 series. Here is a detailed discussion on the specs, features, pros, cons, and price of the realme 10 Pro+.
Key Features of realme 10 Pro Plus
Design
Given its low cost, the phone's sleek and sophisticated appearance will surprise you. Beginning with the device's back panel, it has the realme logo in the bottom left corner, two inner camera islands in the top left corner, and a flash next to them.
One of the round islands comprises a single main sensor while the other includes two sensors. When exposed to an adequate quantity of light, the back panel of the handset has a glossy surface with a pleasing pattern-like reflection.

The fact that the rear panel is fingerprinted and smudged serves as a deterrent. This necessitates the use of a protective cover to prevent smudges from appearing on the phone. With its curved display, realme outperforms all of its rivals in the same price range.
The device's very small bezels were one of its distinguishing features. Combining the ultra-symmetrical curvy front and back layout with side bezels as tiny as 1.41mm and a bottom bezel as small as 2.33mm produces a bezel-free viewing experience.
Dimensions of the realme 10 Pro plUs is about 161.5 by 73.9 by 7.8 mm or 8 mm. Weighing 175g the device appears comfortable to handle. The smartphone is available in three different color options: Dark Matter, Hyperspace Gold, and Nebula Blue.

Display
The realme 10 Pro+ offers a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 by 2412 and a pixel density of 394ppi. Due to its inherent 10-bit color depth, the new AMOLED boasts a faster refresh rate of 120Hz and can show over one billion colors. Gamers will like the 360Hz touch sensitivity, while the HDR10+ certification will facilitate video streaming.
In addition, 800 nits of peak brightness are offered, which significantly improves the viewing experience even in direct sunlight. The curved display makes multimedia consumption on the device more enjoyable.
The panel is very well-tuned since it displays beautiful colors with a wide dynamic range and excellent contrast. If you wish your colors to be amplified, the HyperVision option under settings includes both Video Color Boost and Video HDR Boost. The first one consumes more battery power as it attempts to expand the color spectrum of SDR content.

It is available through a few mobile applications. The Video HDR Boost increases brightness and improves the HDR viewing experience while watching HDR videos. Obviously, it also increases power consumption.
Camera
The rear of the realme 10 Pro Plus has three cameras. The main rear camera of the realme 10 Pro+ is a 108MP (f/1.8) Samsung (S5K) HM6 1/1.67′′ sensor with 0.64m pixels and a Nona-Pixel color filter. While the number of megapixels has increased since the previous model, realme has eliminated Optical Image Stabilization, which affects handheld photos taken in low light.
The other two back cameras consist of a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens manufactured by OmniVision and an 8MP (f/2.2) ultrawide camera with a Sony sensor.

The main back camera captures 12MP images that are adequate out of the box. The camera has captured acceptable levels of contrast, color, and detail. If you're curious about the dynamic range, it is neither poor nor exceptional.
Surprisingly, the 16MP (f/2.5) front sensor performs well in both low-light and bright-light environments. It captures well-exposed selfies with precise color reproduction. The information are rather vague, but still sufficient for social media sharing.
Performance
The realme 10 Pro Plus is powered by a MediaTek MT6877V Diminutive 1080 CPU 6nm with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. There were no delays or overheating difficulties when using the phone. The processor is combined with a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.

Application switching seems silky smooth with a fast refresh rate and respectable effectiveness. However, increasing the parameters to high has a noticeable impact on the performance. In addition, the device boots the realme UI 4.0 operating system based on the Android 13 operating system. It is one of the few non-Google phones that launch Android 13 out of the box.
The software has several features, such as always-on-display, fingerprint, themes, scanning animations, media technology controls, and dynamic widgets. There are choices such as Dual Mode audio, Heart Rate, Sleep Capsule Measurement, etc. The prevalence of bloatware on the realme gadget is one of the biggest software downsides to be aware of, despite the fact that the device's feature set is flawless.
Battery
The realme 10 Pro+ is powered by a battery that has a capacity of 5000 mAh and allows rapid charging at 67 watts. The amount of power that it used from the battery was pretty optimal. The gadget lost between 8% and 10% of its battery life when viewing YouTube videos at the maximum quality setting for an hour. While running intense games, the usage increased to 14% per hour.

Price of realme 10 Pro Plus
The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage edition of the realme 10 Pro Plus will be offered on the Indian market for Rs 24,999 which is equivalent to BDT 32,026. In contrast, the 8GB RAM model with 128GB of internal storage would cost Rs 25,999 (equivalent to BDT 33,307). The conversion rate is 1 INR = 1.28 BDT.
The device is not released in Bangladesh officially. However, the official price of realme 10 Pro Plus in Bangladesh may vary due to tax and other issues.
Conclusion
The realme 10 Pro+ defies expectations for a mid-range smartphone simply because of its appearance and display. The main camera on this phone is excellent, and it even has some buried low-light shooting prowess. The ultra-wide camera and bloatware-filled user interface hold it back, but the realme 10 Pro+ seems like a promising device.

realme GT Neo 3T Review: The flagship killer
realme was founded as a subsidiary of Oppo that aimed to provide a flagship experience at an affordable price. Over the last four years, the company has seen incredible growth owing to its value proposition, with the latest growth figure standing at 831% in 2021. In its stride, realme has recently launched the GT Neo 3T, an update of their ever-popular GT Neo 2. Let’s take a detailed look at the key features and performance of realme GT Neo 3T.
Key Specifications of realme GT Neo 3T
Design and Build Quality
The build quality of most realme devices has always been plastic. The Neo 3T is no different as well. Because most of what realme is known for happens under the hood. The Neo 3T has a plastic frame and a checkered design on the back which brings a racing flag-like feel to the looks.
Even though the materials are plastic, the durable and sturdy build allows for a pretty solid construction. The glass front is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, which is a useful addition.
Read More: Oppo Reno 9 Pro 5G Review: Build for Efficiency
Ports and button selection are as usual. Though as an upper mid-range device, realme has moved away from the 3.5 mm headphone jack as there is no headphone port on the 3T. Another major omission is the expandable storage. These choices are made to be mostly in line with the existing flagships in the market though these aren’t necessarily positive ones.
Overall, the design has some subtle changes from the previous iteration. It can be called an incremental upgrade over the Neo 2 as nothing major has changed, at least on the outside.
Display
The display of the realme GT Neo 3T steals the show for us. It is an AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution. In addition to that, the display boasts a 120 Hz high refresh rate along with HDR10+ support.

The high spec also delivers in everyday use. In our test, the display felt buttery smooth while scrolling or navigating through the UI. Outdoor visibility was also on point, thanks to the 1300 nits HBM.
The display contrast of the Neo 3T is on the warmer side. But that’s pretty typical of Realme, and it's something that can be changed from the display settings. We also didn’t notice any kind of color shift with the panel.
Overall, the display experience with the Neo 3T has been top notch with hardly any room for complaints.

Camera
The realme GT Neo 3T boasts a triple camera module on the back. While it might sound lucrative and all, the Neo 3T falls into the trap of mid-range smartphones here. Even though there are three different sensors here, the main focus is on the 64 MP main sensor and the 8 MP ultrawide shooter. The 2 MP macro shooter is as good as nothing on the 3T.
Realme, in its typical photo processing fashion, brings out warmer-tone photos that pop the red, blue, and green colors. Photos from the daytime look incredibly detailed with sharp color contrasts. If you take a picture of something very vibrant, the photos might look unnatural at times due to the heavy color balancing.
But the overall dynamic range is pretty good. The contrasted color issue is present in the nighttime photos as well. If you take photos with the night mode on, the subject gets a burst of light which at times might look artificial. Images in low light look overprocessed at times. It's not necessarily bad and will ultimately come down to the user’s personal preference.

The story is somewhat similar to the front-facing camera too. Users will be getting a 16 MP camera which performs similarly to the main sensor, albeit the wide angle feature is absent and the dynamic range underperforms depending on the light.
There is no OIS on the Neo 3T. So users will have to rely on the EIS for video stabilization. The video quality isn’t the best unless you use an external stabilization device. It's passable at best.
Processor and Performance
The realme GT Neo 3T uses Snapdragon 870 5G processor based on the 7 Nm architecture. It’s the same that was present on Neo 2. The 870 is becoming a bit old at this point, with the performance striking somewhere between mid-range and upper mid-range. But combined with the smooth display, the processor delivers.

In day-to-day use, the device absolutely flies. Navigating through the OS and casual browsing didn’t show any sign of slowing down. We tested several graphics-intensive titles like Genshin Impact, Asphalt 9, COD, and PUBG.
All of them delivered a smooth performance at 60 Hz. There wasn’t any lag or frame drop whatsoever. But the device did heat up over time after 30-odd minutes of continued gaming.
Overall, there is no performance slack on the Neo 3T. It’ll be perfect for casual to heavy users alike.

Battery and Charge Time
The realme GT Neo 3T has a 5000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The battery itself is good enough to last a whole day of usage. And the insane 80W can fill up the tank in under an hour.
Price of realme GT Neo 3T
The realme GT Neo 3T has not been officially launched in Bangladesh yet. The device is available in three configurations, 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB, and 8/256 GB. The prices of the configurations are 29,999 INR, 31,999 INR, and 33,999 INR, respectively. The price roughly amounts to 37,771 BDT, 40,289 BDT, and 42,808 BDT, respectively, for each configuration.
The pricing on the Bangladeshi market is not certain as it will depend on several regulatory factors when it is officially launched.

Final Words
GT Neo 3T is a perfect all-around smartphone that will suffice the need of casual to heavy users alike. The changes from the Neo 2 to the 3T are mostly cosmetic with the performance still being a top-notch one.
The battery, display, and processor deserve high praise because of the value they bring for the price. But on the other hand, the camera performance could be a bit better, especially the post-processing. Other than that, the realme GT Neo 3T can be an excellent recommendation.
realme 9 5G Speed Review: What’s special about it?
Since its inception realme has emphasized providing affordable youth-centric devices. With that stride, the brand launched the Speed edition of the realme 9 on 14th March 2022, even before the release of its namesake. Here’s our detailed take on the realme 9 5G Speed Edition.
Key Specifications of realme 9 5G Speed
Design and Build Quality
The design and the build quality on the 9 Speed Edition are reflections of the previous realme devices. It has a glass front, a plastic frosted back, and a plastic frame. Even though the device is predominantly a plastic build one, it still boasts a solid heft to the touch.
The camera module is positioned vertically on the top left corner of the device. With 8.5 mm thickness, the device brings finesse as well as elegance. Weighing 199g this phone is manageable.

Moving to the ports and button selection, users won't be missing out on anything. The Type – C charging port, the primary mic, the bottom-firing speaker, and the headphone jack are placed side by side. the top features the secondary mic which is ever so special for high-quality calls.
The interesting design choice was the placement of the power button and the volume buttons as they each grace the right and left side of the device respectively. The power button as always complements the fingerprint scanner. To make it even more obvious, realme has dented the frame along with the button to make it more prominent for the touch. And of course, there’s support for two active sims along with a micro SDXC slot.
The overall package is a compact offering that punches way above its price range. At least from the design perspective, realme has absolutely nailed the 9 Speed Edition.

Display
The display on the realme 9 Speed Edition is an IPS LCD one with Panda Glass protection. While this might sound like a letdown for many, bear with us for the rest of the specs. Even though the display is an LCD, it comes with FHD+ resolution, 600 nits HBM, and a whopping 144 Hz refresh rate.
These absolutely stacked specs allow the 9 Speed to conjure arguably the best-performing LCD panel out there, for any price range.
realme has always calibrated its panels for high dynamic, high contrast performance. The colors look crisp with a distinctly warm tone to them.
Read More: 10 Smart TVs Under Tk50000 in Bangladesh
Not to mention the 144 Hz refresh rate everything is buttery smooth. And if the display smoothness wasn’t enough, realme has made the animations even faster which only doubles down on the already lightning-fast experience.
Overall, the display experience is easily the highlight of the device, especially considering the price.
Camera Series
The realme 9 Speed features a different camera module from the standard 9. The main sensor is a 48 MP (f/1.8 aperture, 26mm width, ½-inch) one which is a downgrade from the 108 MP one found on the standard 9.
Read More: Walton Orbit Y50 4G Review: Does it offer value for money
The other two are 2 MP (f/2.4) macro and 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensors which are mostly there for marketing stunts rather than performance.
But that doesn’t take away from the overall camera output. The Sony IMX586 sensor captures perfect daylight and portrait shots. The images look sharp with great details and dynamic range. The edge detection on the portrait shots was also noticeably better than last year’s.
The Sony sensor also does a decent job indoors and with artificial lighting. Granted the image quality isn’t as good as daylight but it can still pull off a decent job. The images have a consistent exposure with reduced grains and noises. It sure won’t compete with the industry leaders but it's definitely a touch above its peers.

The story is also the same with the 16 MP (f/2.1 aperture, 26mm wide, 1/3.09-inch, 1.0µm) front camera. It’s a good wide-angle shooter perfect for selfies.
For the rear camera series, the videography maxes out at 4K at 30 fps with the 1080P supporting up to 120 fps slo-mo. There’s no external stabilization. As a result, the videos appear to be a bit shaky. Other than that, it’s a very capable camera system.
With the front camera, you can shoot 1080pixel footage at 30fps.

Processor and Performance
The realme 9 Speed takes the processing power up a notch from the standard 9. The Speed edition comes with Snapdragon 778G 5G built on the 6 nm architecture.
The octa-core chipset has 1 2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 and 3 2.2 GHz Cortex-A78 and 4 1.9 GHz Cortex-A55 chips for efficient and balanced performance.
The realme 9 Speed absolutely blazes through day-to-day tasks partly because of this efficient processor and the smooth animation with a high refresh rate display. The 778 5G performs well on the gaming front as well.

Titles like Asphalt 9 and COD run smoothly on high graphics settings thanks to the Adreno 642L GPU. The only downside would be that the device does get heated up after half an hour or so of continued gaming.
The OS is based on the realme UI 3.0 with Android 11 out of the box. realme has since released a stable Android 12 for the device.
On paper and in real-life usage, the realme 9 Speed is the perfect upper-mid-range device. For any average user, the device will easily give a flagship-like feeling at a fraction of the cost.

Battery and Charge Time
The realme 9 Speed Edition sports a 5000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging on board. The high refresh rate display demands a lot of power and the battery life is justifiably a bit short at around 5-6 hours of SoT.
realme claims that the charger can top up the device up to 50% in just 25 minutes. So, charging should be an easy affair here.
Price of realme 9 5G Speed Edition
The realme 9 Speed Edition has two variants: 6/128 GB and 8/128 GB. The price for the base model stand at 19,999 INR (25,366 BDT) whereas the upper variant comes at 22,999 INR (29,171 BDT). The conversion rate is 1 INR = 1.27 BDT. The official price of realme 9 Speed Edition may vary in Bangladesh.

Final Words
The youth-centric smartphone brand realme provides solutions for people looking for a capable device without breaking the bank. This has been the story with almost every single device from the company including realme 9 speed edition.
Does 9 Speed Edition essentially justify its name? Its fast performance all around is satisfactory. Its display, processor, or charging speed, everything seems standard.
However, the camera performance has been reduced a bit with the main sensor in favor of the speed. But that only makes a minimal difference. On the whole, if you are looking for a standard mid-range device, you can consider the realme 9 5G speed.

realme C33 Review: Key specs, pros, and cons
realme started its journey in the smartphone industry as a subsidiary of BBK electronics. It’s the same company that owns Oppo and OnePlus. Since its inception, the brand has focused on producing budget smartphones. realme emphasizes the concept that phones don’t have to be expensive to be good. Holding this legacy, realme launched its ultra-budget offering, the relame C33 on November 08 in Bangladesh. Here’s our detailed take on the device.
Key Specifications of realme C33
Design and Build Quality
The dimensions of realme C33 are 164.2 by 75.7 by 8.3mm. It weighs about 187g.
The realme C33 shines the most in this section. realme has always been big on design elements and even their ultra-budget offering doesn’t miss out here. Even though the C33 has a plastic build all around, it boasts refinements in every department.

The boxy design is complemented by two large vertical camera sensors on the back. The back itself is s mixture of glittering glossy reflective finish. It’s sure to grab anyone’s attention.
Moving to the ports and button selection, everything is in place including the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The fingerprint sensor also stays on the power button and the sim tray makes way for a micro SDXC slot along with two dedicated sim slots.
But the most glaring letdown here is the micro-USB charging. Hardly any phone these days uses micro-USB and it's increasingly becoming obsolete by 2022 standard. Yet somehow realme still went with one.

There’s also no secondary noise cancellation mic on the C33. This might hamper the call quality a bit but that’s understandable given the price constraints. Overall, other than the micro-USB everything felt right on par with the price for the C33.
The Display
The budget smartphone market almost universally uses 720P IPS LCD panels on their devices and the C33 is no different. The smartphone features the same in a 6.5-inch screen with a bit over 82% screen-to-body ratio and a standard 270 PPI density.
While that doesn’t really say much about the quality, it still holds decent numbers for its price. In testing, the device was accurate with the colors and overall sharpness. Viewing angles are also good without any noticeable color shifting. It feels like realme did a better job at calibrating the panel compared to several of its counterparts in this specific segment.

The peak brightness of the display is rated at 400 nits which is about average in its class. The display looks sufficiently good indoors but you will notice glares and readability issues under direct sunlight.
So, will this display be perfect for media consumption? Not really. But it will get the job done as a daily driver.
The Camera
In its initial days, budget and mid-range devices were focused on the number of sensors rather than the actual quality of images. The result was a cheeky marketing bias with little to no performance-backed substance. But that bias is slowly changing.

C33 has a dual-lens camera setup with a 50 MP wide-angle primary shooter and the accompanying one is a 0.3MP depth sensor. This simple setup not only helped the device to maintain a clean look but also allowed realme to focus on what matters the most, the quality of images.
The result is satisfactory. The main sensor does an excellent job in outdoor conditions. the color contrast and dynamic range are well-exposed and well-balanced. The pictures appear to be on the warmer side in a typical realme fashion. But that doesn’t take away from the fact it produces some of the best images in the mid-range category.
The performance slightly drops in indoor and artificial lighting conditions. Though that’s an expected phenomenon at this point. The dedicated night mode on the C33 does a good job of properly exposing the subject and smoothening out the extra noise and grains.

The selfie camera also performs well for a generic 5 MP shooter.
The videography of the C33 is limited to just 1080P at 30 fps for primary rear camera. While the selfie ca,era can shoot 720p footage at 30fps. The quality of videos aren’t much satisfactory as in absence of external or internal stabilization.
Processor and Performance
One of the biggest cut corners in a budget to lower mid-range devices is the processor. Unfortunately, the story is the same with realme C33. Instead of going for an entry-level Snapdragon or Helio processor, realme went with the Unisoc Tiger T612 processor based on the 12 nm architecture.

The octa-core processor has a chip design of 2 1.8 GHz Cortex-A75 and 6 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 with Mali-G57 GPU. The T612 is a basic processor designed for lightweight day-to-day tasks.
The realme C33 may not come with a robust processor. Still you can play game on this device. The C33 can even handle 3D titles in low graphics settings. Though the phone does get heated up quite easily.
Another problem is the architecture itself. 12 nm isn’t really an efficient design anymore with a general entry-level standard shifting to 6 nm slowly. So the device suffers a bit of RAM management issues here and there.

The realme C33 runs on the realme UI S operating system on top of Android 12. The ram capacity of different variants range from 3 to 4G; while the internet stogae capacity may reach up to 64GB starting from 32GB. This device features UFS 2.2 data transfer technology. It’s External Memory can be increased up to 1TB.
Battery and Charge Time
The realme C33 comes equipped with a 5000 mAh battery. While it may sound a lot, the high-consumption chipset allows for about 6 to 8 hours of continued usage on a full charge.
To add to that, there aren’t any fast-charging options on the C33 so charging with its 1oW charger would be a cumbersome affair.

realme C33's Official Price in Bangladesh
The realme C33 is available in 32/3GB RAM, 64/4GB RAM, and 128/4GB RAM configurations. However, the pre-order option is only valid for the 32/3GB variant as it is the only available model right now. The Price of the variant is 12,999 BDT.
Final Words
The competition and saturation in the ultra-budget segment of smartphones have always been high. So the choice for the perfect smartphone in this category often comes down to the overall design and aesthetics as most brands offer more or less the same internals.
To wrap it up, realme delivers in the lower mid-range or entry-level segment with the C33. While it still may have some drawbacks in the processor and the screen, it more than makes up the camera department. Plus, the realme UI S has also been streamlined to be much more like Android Go which is another welcomed addition.
