Dengue: 32 more patients hospitalised in 24 hrs
Thirty-two more people were hospitalised with dengue in the 24 hours till Tuesday morning.
Of the new patients, 15 were admitted to the hospitals in Dhaka and 17 outside it, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

A total of 165 dengue patients, including 52 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country

Dengue: 48 more patients hospitalised in 24 hrs, zero death
Fourty-eight more people were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours till Tuesday morning.
Of the new patients, 17 were admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka and 31 outside it, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

A total of 237 dengue patients, including 135 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country
So far, DGHS recorded 127 dengue cases and 110 recoveries this year with zero death.

Of the new patients, 22 were admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka and 16 outside it, said DGHS.
A total of 228 dengue patients, including 137 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

Forty-seven more people were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours till Saturday morning.
The official death toll from the mosquito-borne disease remained unchanged at 281 as no death was recorded during the period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new patients, 26 were admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka and 21 outside it, said DGHS.

A total of 338 dengue patients, including 161 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

Dengue in Bangladesh: 14 new patients hospitalised in 24hrs
Fourteen more people were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours till Friday morning.
The official death toll from the mosquito-borne disease remained unchanged at 281 as no death was recorded during the period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new patients, six were admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka and 8 outside it, said DGHS.
A total of 349 dengue patients, including 165 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The DGHS has recorded 62,335 dengue cases and 61,705 recoveries so far this year.
Dengue: 184 more patients hospitalised in 24 hrs, zero death
Another 184 people were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours till Wednesday morning.
The total fatalities remained unchanged at 267 as no death was reported during this period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the new patients, 100 were admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka and 84 outside it, said DGHS.
A total of 916 dengue patients, including 494 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

The DGHS has recorded 60,926 dengue cases and 59,743 recoveries so far this year.

With three more deaths from dengue recorded in 24 hours till Sunday morning, the official death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 247 this year.
During this period, 513 more patients, including 277 in Dhaka city, were hospitalised, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Among the latest deaths, two were reported from Dhaka while another from Chattagram division, taking the number of Dhaka division’s death toll to 153 and Chattogram to 59.
A total of 1,929 dengue patients, including 1,129 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

The DGHS has recorded 56,130 dengue cases and 53,954 recoveries so far this year.
Dengue death toll rises to 205, with 3 more deaths
With three more deaths reported in 24 hours till Monday morning, this year’s fatalities from Dengue climbed to 205.
During this period, 760 patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the latest deaths,one each was reported from Dhaka, Chattogram and Khulna taking the death tolls in these three divisions to 122, 52 and 11 respectively.

Meanwhile death toll remained unchanged at nine in barishal, six in Rajshahi, five in Mymensingh divisions
Of the new patients, 425 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 335 outside it, according to the DGHS.
A total of 2,989 dengue patients, including 1,767 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The directorate has recorded 49,300 dengue cases and 46,106 recoveries so far this year.

This year’s fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease reached 182 on Tuesday, exceeding all previous records in Bangladesh.
Earlier the country recorded the highest 179 deaths from Dengue in a year in 2019.
No respite from Dengue: Death toll rises to 177
Seven more deaths reported in 24 hours till Monday morning raised this year’s fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to177, amid a sharp rise in dengue cases in different parts of the country.
This is the second highest death toll from the disease on record after the 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
During the period, 875 patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The gradual increase in dengue infections has created panic among the residents of Dhaka city.

Doctors and health experts say that measures taken by the city corporations and other authorities are not proving to be effective. The publicity and drives carried out by the authorities to destroy larvae of Aedes mosquito, the carrier of the dengue virus, are appearing to be inadequate.
Of the latest deaths, six were reported from Dhaka and one from Chattogram division.
The new figures raised the death toll in Dhaka division to 109, in Chattogram division to 44.
Of the new patients, 497 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 378 outside it, according to the DGHS.
A total of 3,270 dengue patients, including 1,980 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

Govt fixes cost of dengue test
Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Sunday said from now the NS-1 antigen test to identify dengue patients will cost Tk 100 at government hospitals and Tk 300 at private hospitals.
This means people will not get the free dengue testing facility at hospitals anymore, even as the number of dengue cases remains high in the country.
The minister said this replying to journalist’s questions after attending a meeting titled ‘Review on ensuring community level mental health services,’ in the city.

He said a direction has been given in this regard to all hospitals, that is in effect now.
Earlier in 2019, the year of the worst dengue outbreak in the country till now, dengue test was made free for all by the government.
Also from now on CBC (complete blood count) and IgM (Immunoglobulin M) tests will cost Tk 250 at Government hospitals.
