NOKIA 8V 5G UW Review: 60K worth Phone is now available at 20K
People acquainted with the Nokia 8.3 5G that launched in the United States earlier this autumn will recognize the Nokia 8 V 5G UW. This phone debuted on November 12th of last year. These two devices are essentially identical in every way. But, Nokia 8 V was only accessible via Verizon. Recently Novia 8 V 5G UW smartphone is available in Bangladesh at a much affordable price. Let’s see what it offers.
Key features of NOKIA 8V 5G UW
Design
The Nokia 8 V 5G UW is not a small device. When compared to an iPhone 11 Max, the Nokia 8 V is substantially taller, measuring 6.8 x 3.1 x 0.35 inches. With a weight of 8.11 ounces, users are unlikely to forget they're carrying the new Nokia phone.

When they flip the gadget over, they'll discover a spherical camera array emerging from the polycarbonate rear. There are also other logos for greeting, ranging from a vertical Nokia to Verizon's 5G branding. Apart from the logos, it's a really sleek design, albeit the Meteor Gray exterior will show a lot of fingerprints.
A headphone jack is on the bottom of the phone, even after HMD Global overcomes the urge to follow other phone manufacturers and eliminate the connector.
On the left side of the phone, there is a Google Assistant button that summons the virtual assistant and does nothing else. It is an unnecessary item. The power button houses the phone's fingerprint sensor and is too sunken into the Nokia 8 V's frame to be readily found; it's also just underneath the volume toggle.

Display
HMD chose a large form factor for the Nokia 8 V 5G UW in order to accommodate the phone's gigantic 6.81-inch FHD display. This display size provides an immersive experience regardless of whether users are playing games or watching videos. While rummaging through residences in PUBG Mobile, gamers might see details on firearms and other items that they have never noticed on smaller-display phones.
The Nokia 8 V 5G UW is equipped with an LCD screen, which has an effect on the colors shown by the smartphone. When it comes to brightness, the Nokia phone falls behind the competition. The Nokia 8 V is measured at 358 nits with adaptive brightness enabled.

Rear Camera
The Nokia 8 V is equipped with a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view. Both the primary and ultrawide shooters include a Super Night mode for photographing in low light. The rear cameras are completed with a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor.
The Nokia 8 V performs well outdoors on a partly cloudy day, photographing some Star Wars-themed tiki cups. It catches details that are more difficult to see in the OnePlus Nord N10 shot, like the swirls in C3-PO's eyes and the curve at the top of the cup. For some reason, the backdrop blurs more than I'd like in the Nokia 8 V photo, but the main emphasis of the shot is on the mugs, as it should be.
The Nokia 8 V redeems itself with an ultrawide lens that captures a far broader field of vision than the Pixel 4a's equivalent camera.

Front Camera
Users will get a single 24MP front-facing camera capable of shooting high-quality photos throughout the day, which should come as no surprise considering the sensor's size. Portrait mode is accessible on both the front and rear cameras, which is an excellent feature given the device's price point.
Performance and Software
The Snapdragon 765G is the processing platform of choice for manufacturers of 5G phones, and the Nokia 8 V 5G UW is no exception. It's simple to see why – although the Snapdragon 765G isn't Qualcomm's most powerful processor, it's capable of handling the vast majority of tasks that smartphone users throw at it and has an integrated X52 modem. Additionally, it is less costly than the Snapdragon 865 used in top Android flagships, allowing phone manufacturers to keep prices down.

As a consequence, the Nokia 8 5G UW and its Snapdragon 765G CPU provide benchmarking results that are rather comparable with other phones equipped with the same chipset. The most processor-intensive applications are unlikely to function as smoothly on the Nokia 8 V 5G UW, while there are no issues playing PUBG Mobile with the exception of the odd hiccup. Users can effortlessly move between applications and stream video to my heart's desire.
HMD Global boosts the RAM to 6GB to assist the Snapdragon 765G but leaves the storage at a measly 64GB. Users may expand the storage up to 1TB with a microSD card.

Battery and Charging
Our first 5G phone testing indicates that a 5G connection eats up and spits out the battery life of these phones, necessitating the use of large power packs to get the devices through the day. The Nokia 8 V 5G UW attempts to address this with a 4,500 mAh battery. However, it is insufficient.
The Nokia 8 V 5G battery lasted an average of 8 hours and 26 minutes in our battery test, which entails setting the phone's screen to 150 nits and then surfing the web via cellular until it runs out of juice. This is around 90 minutes shorter than the typical smartphone lasts on our test, and it is also much less than the performance of comparable 5G phones.

Price of NOKIA 8V 5G UW in Bangladesh
After the release of NOKIA 8V 5G UW, the device was not available in Bangladesh. Even a few days ago, the phone could be bought unofficially at BDT 60,000. Here the rate is converted from the official rate of the phone. Conversion rate USD 1 equals BDT 85.67.
Fortunately, the NOKIA 8V 5G UW is currently available at around BDT 20000. Not to mention, this news has shocked the Nokia fans!

Conclusion
The NOKIA 8V 5G UW is worth considering. It remains one of the smartphones on the market. It improves on flip phones significantly, with a bigger battery, a larger display, and a faster CPU. Nokia, including 18W charging, a USB-C port, and a 24MP front-facing camera, has made the phone a great pick. It is best suited for consumers searching for a truly budget-friendly phone with maximum functionality.

Google Pixel 5a 5G What's Special About It?
Undoubtedly Google is the top search enginer in the world. But in the realm of phone industry, Google has many tough competitors. Though claining exorbitant prices, Google phones got reputations for their stunning performances. Google's Pixel 5a 5G was released on August 26, 2021. It was first marketed in Japan and the US. Since its release, Pixel 5a 5G has been in the middle of gossip among phone lovers all around the world. In design and performance, the phone shares some similarities to its ancestor Pixel 4a 5G. Let's see what does it offer.
Google Pixel 5a 5G Full Review
Design
The Google Pixel 5 is the only phone in a span of a long time to implement a metal back. The industry has become more glass-oriented in recent years to allow for improved signal transmission. The metal cover all around the sides creates an all-in-one style that is also uncommon today. The metal can endure much more resistance to harm, whether from everyday wear, hit and tear, or severe drops.

The metal has a matte surface, giving it a more polycarbonate-like feel than conventional aluminum frames. Its material is intriguing yet unappealing. Not to mention, it provided us with a more secure hold on the phone.
Not every element of the tiny format is flawlessly designed. For instance, the metal-lock button and volume adjuster on the right of the phone protrudes slightly from the body. It requires a little more effort to press these buttons.
Display
The front of the phone is dominated by a 6.34-inch OLED display with a hole punch. The resolution is 2,400 by 1,080 pixels, with a density of 413ppi. Color fidelity is superb, with a high contrast ratio and dark, inky blacks. The viewing aspects are good, and the display is bright enough to use outside. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Pixel 5a 5G will dishearten the users with its poor refresh rate. While surfing the internet or app library the users might experience stuttering associated with its 60Hz display.
Rear Lenses
The Pixel 5a has the same excellent camera module as the costlier Pixel 5. There are two cameras on the phone's rear side. Its main sensor features a 12.2MP (f/1.7)lens. It has useful features like autofocus with dual-phase detection, optical and electronic image stabilization. The 16 MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens offers a field of view of 107 degrees but lacks OIS and EIS.
As expected, the Pixel 5a's pictures are similar to its predecessor Pixel 5. While the Pixel 5a lacks high-resolution sensors, it comfortably outperforms its midrange rivals and gives flagships a run for their money.
Read Vivo iQOO Z5 Review: What does it offer?
The 12.2MP main sensor works well in all lighting situations. The Pixel 5a produces clear pictures with great depth of field in the daytime. The texture is lush, and the color accuracy is flawless.
The rear lens's video recording rate is limited to 240 frames per second in 1080p and 60 frames per second in 4K.
Front Lens
The 8MP front lens has an aperture of f/2.0. The front camera works well in almost all lighting conditions. Selfies are clear and accurate in terms of color and exposure. In portrait mode, depth mapping work is appreciable.

Performance, Software, UI
The Pixel 5A 5G operates through a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 7nm SoC. This device is supported by 6GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 128GB, with about 111GB of storage accessibility out of the box. This phone has no microSD card slot.
The performance of the Pixel 5a is quite impressive. It is capable of handling whatever job is thrown at it. When multitasking with hundreds of Chrome windows open, apps launch instantly, and there is no latency. Even Night Mode pictures that took a bit of time to process on the Pixel 4a 5G run easily on the 5a.
The Pixel 5a excels in gaming. During testing, this phone showed no problems while playing Genshin Impact and Alto's Odyssey for a few hours. Both games loaded fast, with no latency or missed frames.

The Pixel 5A does share the same Snapdragon mobile platform, storage and RAM as the Pixel 5.
Battery and Charger
The 5A battery is the biggest Pixel battery yet at 4,685mAh. It lasted almost 12 hours before shutting down in our battery drain test, streaming HD movies over Wi-Fi at maximum brightness. The battery would probably survive for a day without charging if the phone is used more sparingly.
A rapid charging 18W charger is included in the package. Wireless charging isn't included, which is a bummer.

Price in Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, the phone is available unofficially. The powerful 4GB, 64GB model is unofficially priced at BDT 55,000 in the local market. 1 INR = 1 BDT is the exchange rate used here.
Bottom Line
The Google Pixel 5a 5G phone can be a fantastic upper-midrange option that is well worthy of a good name. It boasts a standard processor, sharp OLED display, long battery life, and good camera features.
In fact, it's difficult to find significant flaws in the Pixel 5a. Though this Google phone lacks wireless charging and a high refresh rate display, it runs well and has the same sturdy build quality as the more costly Google Pixel 5. Users who are looking for a 5G phone with exceptional performance for the price, can consider Google Pixel 5A.
Huawei for building greener 5G networks
To adapt to the rapid growth of data traffic, the mobile industry will need to keep pursuing innovations in power supply, distribution, use, and management, and build greener 5G networks with higher performance and lower energy consumption, said Ryan Ding, Huawei's executive director.
He was delivering the keynote speech titled "Green 5G Networks for a Low-Carbon Future," on the second day of Global Mobile Broadband Forum 2021 in Dubai.
In countries where 5G is developing faster, operators who have invested heavily in 5G have seen remarkable returns, Ryan said. But he stressed that operators would realise business value only when the 5G user penetration rate is high enough.
READ: Huawei Connect 2021 begins
When the 5G user penetration rate reaches a threshold of 20%, Ryan said, rapid development of 5G will follow.
In countries such as China, South Korea, and Kuwait, operators were quick to provide continuous nationwide coverage, giving users a consistent experience. They also offer flexible service packages, which delivers a win-win result for both users and themselves.
Also, these operators are providing a gigabit experience – a tangible improvement over 4G – to accelerate user migration and network evolution. In these countries, the 5G user penetration rate has exceeded the 20% threshold, triggering a positive cycle of user growth, business returns, and network construction.

High-quality 5G networks will drive the rapid growth of mobile data traffic. It is estimated that the average data traffic per user per month will reach 600GB by 2030.
If the energy efficiency of existing networks remains unchanged, the energy consumption of wireless networks will increase by more than tenfold. Ryan said to cut the ICT industry's greenhouse gas emissions by 45 per cent, operators will need to pursue ongoing innovations in power supply, distribution, use, and management to build greener 5G networks with higher performance and lower energy consumption.
Huawei already deployed low-carbon site solutions in more than 100 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Greece, Pakistan, and Switzerland, helping operators reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 40 million tons, he added.

XR services, B2B market, low-carbon development to drive 5G growth: Huawei
Extended Reality (XR) services, the B2B market, and low-carbon development will drive the next stage of 5G growth, Huawei's Rotating Chairman Ken Hu said at the company's 12th annual Global Mobile Broadband Forum in Dubai Wednesday.
There are now 176 commercial 5G networks around the globe, serving more than 500 million subscribers. In the consumer space, average 5G download speeds are roughly 10 times greater than 4G, which has fueled broader adoption of applications like VR and 360-degree broadcasting.
In the enterprise space, there are already 10,000 projects exploring B2B applications of 5G (5GtoB) around the world. 5G applications in industries like manufacturing, mining, and ports have already passed the trial and are being replicated at scale.
READ: Huawei Connect 2021 begins
While progress has been steady, there are still some areas for improvement. "Right now, more than half of these 10,000 5GtoB projects are in China. We have a huge number of use cases already, but we need to build more sustainable business cases," Ken said.
He went on to speak of broader changes that will have a long-term impact on the ICT industry, including accelerated digital transformation caused by the pandemic, how cloud and AI have become must-haves for all organisations, and how the world is taking climate change more seriously. "These trends provide many opportunities for our industry," he said. "But they also create some challenges. There are a few things we can do to get ready."
First, the industry needs to get networks, devices, and content ready for explosive growth in XR. To support a smooth cloud-based XR experience, networks need to provide download speeds faster than 4.6 Gbit/s with latency no greater than 10 milliseconds.
Read GSMA sets out 5G Roadmap for Asia Pacific
On the device side, lowering barriers to headset adoption is critical to reaching a tipping point in virtual reality, one of the key technologies in the XR repertoire of AR, VR, and MR. "To reach [this tipping point], we have to make improvements to both headsets and content. For headsets, people want devices that are smaller, lighter, and more affordable," Hu said.
Second, telecom operators need to enhance their networks and develop new capabilities to get ready for 5GtoB. A strong network is a key to 5G applications for industrial use, so operators need to keep making improvements to network capabilities such as uplink, positioning, and sensing. As industrial scenarios are much more complex than consumer scenarios, O&M can be a real challenge.
So, Huawei is developing autonomous networks that bring intelligence to all aspects of 5G networks, from planning and construction to maintenance and optimisation, according to a media statement.
READ: Canadians released after Huawei CFO resolves US charges
In addition to providing connectivity, operators can also serve as cloud service providers, systems integrators, and more and develop the requisite capabilities. To drive broader adoption of 5G in industries, developing industry-specific telecoms standards is also important.
