The US-Bangla Airlines entered the seventh year of providing service on domestic and international routes on Friday.
“US-Bangla started its journey in the aviation industry of Bangladesh on July 17, 2014 and it has successfully achieved the milestones of providing quality service,” said a press release.
The company started its competitive aviation business in Bangladesh by operating a Dhaka-Jashore flight with two Dash8-Q400 aircraft.
US-Bangla has been operating flights with its own catering from the beginning, international standard in-flight service, which has made it acceptable to the passengers.
157 stranded Bangladeshis return home from Maldives
A total of 157 Bangladeshi nationals, who had been stranded in the Maldives due to the shutdown over coronavirus pandemic, returned home by a special flight on Friday.

Coronavirus: 151 Bangladeshis brought home from Malaysia
A special flight of US-Bangla Airlines on Friday brought back 151 Bangladeshi nationals stranded in Malaysia amid the coronavirus outbreak.
“The special flight carrying 151 students, tourists and Bangladeshi nationals took off from Kuala Lumpur 3:50pm local time and landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 5:40pm,” said Md Kamrul Islam, general manager, public relations of US-Bangla Airlines Ltd.
Earlier, a US-Bangla special flight took 43 Malaysians and Bangladeshi expats from Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur at 8:50am, he said.
US-Bangla Airlines has been operating the special flight on Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur-Dhaka route in collaboration with the Bangladesh Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the Malaysian Embassy in Bangladesh.
Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, many Bangladeshis have been stranded in different provinces of Malaysia for more than three months.
US-Bangla Airlines has extended a helping hand to bring back Bangladeshi passengers from Malaysia through the mediation of Bangladesh and Malaysian governments.
US-Bangla resumes domestic flights from June 1
US-Bangla Airlines, one of the largest private airlines in Bangladesh, will resume domestic operations from June 1 after the government lifted restrictions on domestic flights.
