World Cup 2022 fever takes over DU
1/6
The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opened Sunday as host nation Qatar faced Ecuador and every one in Bangladesh is already in a football frenzy. The university students, including those of Dhaka University (DU), have added the much-desired sound and colour in the buildup to "the greatest show on earth." Flags of different counties are visible in the dormitories, but the real battle is between the fans of South American arch-rivals Brazil and Argentina. The walls of DU dormitories are now all painted light blue and white or yellow. Posters and banners featuring Lionel Messi and Neymar engulf the campus.
