Slain ‘Biman hijacker’ a listed criminal, says Rab
Dhaka, Feb 25 (UNB) –The man who was killed in a combing operation during his alleged bid to hijack a Biman Bangladesh Airlines aircraft is a listed criminal, said Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Monday.
The fingerprint of the ‘hijacker’ got matched with that of the listed criminal, said Rab after analysing their criminal database.
As per the Rab database, the man was identified as Md Polash Ahmed, son of Piar Jahan Sarder, a resident of Dudhghata of Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj district.
According to the passenger list of the aircraft, he was a passenger of domestic flight of Dhaka-Chattogram route and his name was mentioned as Ahmed/Md Polash, seat No- 17A.
