The other boy was also traced in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar, said his relatives.
Officer-in-charge of Rangamati’s Kotwali Police Station Satyajit Barua said the four teenagers were rescued from room No 402 of ‘Hotel Raju’.
The students are Syed Nakib, a Class-VII student of Cox’s Bazar Govt High School and son of Jahir Ahmed, Galib Uddin, a Class-VIII student and son of Abdul Amin, Shahriar Kamal Sakib, a Class-VIII student and son of Aktar Kamal Chowdhury, and his cousin Shafin Nur Islam, a Class-VIII student and son of Fayezul Islam.
The manager of the residential hotel said the four teenage boys checked in at a room on Sunday night, saying they came here from Chattogram on visit purpose and would stay here for two days.
Meanwhile, the rescued boys said they had left their homes for schools but went to Rangamati without informing their parents.
UNB Cox’s Bazar correspondent says the other ‘missing’ boy –Shihab Uddin, a Class-IX student of Poura Preparatory High School and son of Imadul Haque, was also spotted in Teknaf upazila in the afternoon.
Shihab’s father said one of his relatives saw Shihab in Teknaf and they were going there to bring him back.
Earlier on Sunday, five students of two schools in Cox’s Bazar reportedly went missing, creating panic among teachers and guardians.
Guardians alleged that their sons went out of their homes around 11am for schools but did not return till night.
Later, they informed the school authorities who informed them that the students were absent in their classes.
The guardians of the ‘missing’ students had also filed general diaries with Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station on Monday morning.
