Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Wednesday forecast dry weather for the next 24 hours commencing from 6pm.
“Weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country with chances of light rain and thunder showers over Cox’s Bazar region,” said a met office release.
Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Noakhali, Cumilla and Chattogram.
It persists over Cox’s Bazar region and is likely to withdraw during the next 24 hours.
Monsoon is less active over Cox’s Bazar region and weak over North Bay.
Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Today’s maximum temperature was recorded 34.8 degree Celsius in Sylhet and the lowest 19.6 degree Celsius in Tetulia.
The sun rises on Thursday at 6:03am and sets at 5:21pm.
