More than 200 rickshaw pullers blocked the Kalibari intersection of Nilphamari town demanding relief on Wednesday.
Witnesses said the protesters blocked the road from 10:30am to 12pm creating tailbacks in the area.
The rickshaw pullers said hunger forced them to come out as they had been left without income during the lockdown that was enforced on April 14 by the district administration.
They said the local administration promised to provide them relief but they are yet to get any aid.

Later, the protesters withdrew the blockade after Sadar Upazila Chairman Shahid Mahmud and Municipality Mayor Dewan Kamal Ahmed assured them to provide relief.
Some districts were put under lockdown to curb the transmission of coronavirus but the restriction of movement left the daily wage earners without jobs and earnings, forcing many of them to go hungry.
Meanwhile, the country reported 790 new cases in the last 24 hours raising confirmed cases to 11,719 while three more people died during this period, taking the death toll to 186 on Wednesday.
