Arambagh Krira Sangha shocked hosts Chittagong Abahani Limited beating them by 2-1 goals in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at MA Aziz Stadium in the port city here on Tuesday.
Nigerian forward Eleta Kingsley scored both the goals for Arambagh KS while local boy Shakhawat Hossain Rony netted the lone goal for the home side. All of the three goals were scored in the first half.
Eleta Kingsley scored first for Arambagh KS in the 28th minute by an angular placing shot beating Abahani defense line-up, after receiving a nice cheap from midfield (1-0).
Eight minute later, host Abahani Ltd neutralized the margin. Local boy Rony got a square pass in the box from right side and pushed the ball home from a good position (1-1).
During the added time of the first half (45+3), Eleta Kingsley scored the match winning 2nd goal for Arambagh KS after snatching a back pass of Abahani defender (2-1).
In the 2nd half, both the teams got many good chances to score but failed.
Arambagh formed a low budgeted team for the premier league in the dying moment as the club was badly hit by Casino scandal while Chittagong Abahani is one of the big budgeted team.
Chittagong Abahani coach Maruful Haque was the in charge of Arambagh KS in the last season while Arambagh KS were eliminated from group stage of the recently concluded Federation Cup Football.
Both the teams played two matches so far in the league and earned three points each from two matches.
