The registrar’s office said IU and Istanbul Foundation for Science and Culture will be jointly organising the seminar on campus at the Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium, starting Monday at 9am.
University Grants Commissions chairman Professor Abdul Mannan will address the conference as the chief guest on the inaugural day while IU vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari will present the seminar as the chief guest on the concluding day, Tuesday
Professor Alparslan Acikgenc of Uskudar University, Turkey will address the conference as a keynote speaker while IU Pro-VC Professor M Shahinoor Rahman, IU treasurer Professor M Selim Toha and Islamic Foundation director general Shamim Mohammad Afzal will attend at various times as special guests during the conference.
Scholars and researchers of different countries would present a total of 71 articles at the conference, IU vice-chancellor Professor Rashid Askari said.
All the necessary preparations have already been taken to hold the conference in a peaceful atmosphere, he added.
