In Naogaon, locals found an unidentified body of a woman in Atrai upazila rail-crossing area on Sunday night around 8 pm, said Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Santahar Railway Police Station.
In another incident, a woman was killed as a train hit her from behind as she walked on the tracks in Raninagar upazila rail-crossing around 3 pm. On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Two separate unnatural death cases were filed with Atrai and Raninagar Police Station in these connections, the OC added.
In Kurigram, police recovered body of a schoolboy from a paddy field in Hirarkhamar in Nageshwari municipality of the district in the morning.
Moklesur Rahman was a ninth grader student of a local madrasa and son of Fazlur Rahman of the village, said Zakir-ur-Alam, officer-in-charge of Nageshwari Police Station.
In Meherpur, police recovered the body of a day labourer from a field at Manikdia village in Gangni upazila on Sunday evening around 7:30 pm, said Horen Chandra Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Gangni Police Station.
Mojid Fahim, 33, son of Ishak Ali of the area, went missing on Sunday evening and later found dead. It is assumed that he might have been strangled to death, the OC added.
In Narayanganj, police recovered a floating body of a ship labour from Sitalakhha River at Amirabad Dockyard on Monday noon.
Jahid, 30, son of Amir Ali, hailed from Pirojpur district, worked as a labourer on oil-laden ships. He was hacked to death and then thrown into the river, said Sub-inspector Salauddin of Narayanganj Port Police Station.
The body was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed with Siddirganj Police Station in this connection, the SI added.
