Benapole, Oct 8 (UNB) – Some 65 alleged drug paddlers of Jashore district on Monday took oath to return to normal life leaving the path of drug trading.
They took the oath at a rally organised at Baropata Madrasah ground in Sharsha upazila in the afternoon against drugs and early marriage.
As the officer-in-charge of Benapole Port Police Station urged the drug pushers to return to normal life, they responded to his call and promised to leave the profession.
Putkhali union parishad chairman Md Hadiuzzaman presided over the programme organised by Community Police Forum where law enforcers and local people took oath to build a peaceful Bangladesh.
