These will be part of the total figure from 64 districts, of which the virus is known to have spread to 63, that will be announced by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday afternoon in the daily briefing.
According to the reports reaching UNB news desk, Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital confirmed four coronavirus cases by Saturday night.
Dr Himanshu Lal Roy, deputy director of the hospital, said they tested 94 samples on the day and found four of them positive for the virus. Two of them are from Habiganj while the others are of Moulvibazar, he added.
In Manikganj, a readymade garments factory worker tested positive for coronavirus in Sadar Upazila.
Upazila Family Planning Officer Dr Md Lutfor Rahman said sample of the 47-year-old man was tested at Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute in Savar.
He was confirmed to be infected with the virus at noon, he added.
In Cumilla, four people, including an Upazila Parishad official, were diagnosed with the coronavirus in Chandina, Monoharganj and Homna upazilas.
Dr Ahsanul Haque Milu, health and family planning officer of Chandina, said after a 52-year-old official was diagnosed with the virus, they asked Chandina Upazila Nirbahi Officer Snehashish Das and his driver to maintain home-quarantine.
Apart from these, samples of another who died few days ago in the upazila tested positive, he said, adding that the two remaining cases are from Monoharganj and Homna.
In Kishoreganj, two people were found to be positive for the virus in Karimganj and Bhairab upazilas.
Civil Surgeon Dr Md Mujibur Rahman said they received reports for 198 samples from Dhaka in the night.
Of them, two were found coronavirus positive, he added.
In Faridpur, a Madrasa student was diagnosed with coronavirus at Faridpur Medical College Hosptial.
Md Siddiqur Rahman, civil surgeon of the district, said the 15-year-old boy, a student of a Dhaka Madrasa, returned home after the announcement of the general holidays.
His elder brother too tested positive two days back, he said, adding that they are being treated at their home.
Md Alimuzzaman, superintendent of district police, also confirmed the development.
In Khulna, two covid-19 patients were identified in Dacope upazila.
District Civil Surgeon Dr Sujat Ahmed said a total of 194 samples were tested at Khulna Medical College Hospital on the day and two of them were found positive for the deadly virus.
Dr Mojammel Haque, health officer at Dacope, said the two are neighbours and returned home from Narayanganj a week back.
In Kurigram, four people were identified with the virus on Saturday, taking the total number of Covid-19 patients in the district to 22.
Civil Surgeon Habibur Rahman disclosed the development at noon, saying among the newly identified patients, two are from Sadar upazila while the rest from Nageswari and Phulbari upazila.
According to the DGHS, the country recorded 8,790 cases and 175 deaths until Saturday morning.

The coronavirus began snatching human lives from Wuhan, the capital of the Hubei province in China, and gradually spread to 185 countries across the globe.
Bangladesh reported the first three Covid-19 cases on March 8 and confirmed the first death from the virus 10 days later on March 18.
